Anyone know where there is a good selection of gliders or rocking chairs (for breastfeeding baby) in Munich?

We had a hard time finding one when searching for our baby. I did find that Schlichting by
Marienplatz carries Dutailier nursing gliders like I am accustomed to seeing in USA. They sell under BabyGlide Dutailier here. Also Pickauf out in the industry center with Toys R Us and WalMart had something similar, though not Dutailier.
Good luck. Could also try Ebay.

Look for a "Stillstuhl", this term will work in an
Ebay search and you can find these at furniture stores too. They are very comfy and usually come with an ottoman as well -- I bought mine at the XXLutz in Friedrichshafen while visiting my in-laws, I assume the XXLutz on Theriesienwiese would have them too.

I bought this one at XXLutz for about eur250
http://www.hauck-group.de/de/detail.asp?PL...mp;ARTNR=688960and I am totally disapointed! The arm rests are too high and the back to narrow for me to comfortably breast feed (Im 5'4'' and slim). Also, the blue fabric is corse. It makes a great TV watching chair for my man though

My advice is breast feed in the chair before you buy, if you can.

I looked for rocking chairs when I was expecting, too, and never managed to find one I could actually buy. Did see a couple on e-Bay but they required pick-up and were too far away.
However, typical TTer that I am, I'm now going to advise you that what you think you want, you actually don't need/should avoid. It's actually not the greatest idea to rock a baby to sleep, while feeding or not. They get hooked on the idea that they need to be rocked to get to sleep, and if you go somewhere without a rocker, they will have a hard time getting to sleep. Same with putting them in a bouncy chair or electric rocker, or even carrying them around till they go to sleep. In the long run, it's easier on everyone not to even start them on getting used to anything like that.
Just my two cents, I'm sure there will be someone else who swears by the same things I'm saying you should reconsider about!

I totally agree with cinzia. My baby got into a habit of being rocked before sleeping and she does not go to sleep otherwise. As fasr as breast-feeding is concerned, a comfortable arm chair works for me.
