Private mail postage services

I have to send our about 500 letters nationwide routinely. Normally I use Infobrief or Infopost. Lately I have mail delivered through private mail firms. Here in Ludwigsburg we have citipost-lb and there is also citipost which serves many German cities (although not Munich ). Has anyone used these services? When does it make sense to go these route?

When you have large mailing to do, want to save money and aren't to bothered about people getting thrown out of decently paid jobs and into carppy paid jobs and the ending of a universal postal service.

I have a big parcel to send off to my family in New Zealand and last time I sent a parcel it took 3 months! Was wondering if there were any other postal companies that operate from Germany that I could use to send parcels to New Zealand?
