Hello,
My uncle’s family is coming to Europe from the States. We are going to Prague for three days. Altought having been to Prague twice already, I have no good restaurant in mind to take them to. I think they would appreciate Italian, Bohemian, or Thai food. (yes, I know it’s strange to eat Thai food in Prauge. But they come from Minnesota, it may be good to try our luck in a bigger city.)
Can anybody recommend a good restaurant for us? Price: < 35/person.
Many thanks!!

Try Infinity. Its a resteraunt/bar. The food is amazing and a lot cheaper than places nearer the centre. At the time they had a 'Tower of Beef fillets' which was my favourite, 2nd pic. This was a Uruguayan Beef steak, which set me back about 10€. Great wine list also. Plus if you feel like staying on for a bit of the music, the bar area is downstairs, which is also good e.g. Not full of drunken stag do's.

I can only recommend the
Kampa Park restaurant next to the Charles Bridge. The location is amazing. Not the cheapest in Prague, but well worth a visit.

I would also give another vote to Infinity, good food, excellent crowd and the basement which has the dance floor, gets wild with really good eye candy (for both men and women) after midnight.
AND no english stag do chappies!!

Cafe Colonial was very very good indeed when I was there. Can't remember where I ate the second night, but it was even better and painted green so keep an eye out for green restaurants (opposite good cocktail bars).

It was the drugs Jimbo, you were seeing green people too
Ok not exactly on topic, but was anyone else surprised by the sheer number of KFCs in Prague? They seemed to be everywhere.

I always forget the name of the place, but is on Tyne Sq, and its green, and think it has Star in the name or that is the beer they serve, its one of those sort of touristy places, but the food is so good. They have awesome roast duck and pork roasts.
when you stand with your back to the clock tower looking onto the square- its on the right side, just past a crystal shop.

Didn't even notice - probably because my view was obscured by men selling me drugs, hookers and live sex shows. After 8pm cultural it ain't.

Hey, thanks you guys. I will mark them on my map and try one or two out. :-)
But, Expat Mat, the picture of the Kampa Park restaurant, was it Photoshoped or taken at 4 am. I have never seen the bridge half as empty. :-)
Oh, and the food in Infinity looked great! I think it is the first choice so far since two people recommended it.

Ive been informed by a reliable source that there are 25 (!) KFCs in Prague, so Im not delusional. I am however the only one that noticed them, apparently:
From a mate: "I just checked the
website and there are about 25 of them, but I don't recall seeing one on my last visit there either."
PS: If any of your visitors are elderly, frail etc. take care on the escalators - they're noticeably faster than most places Ive been.

I found about 10 of them, in the city center.

Pravda is excellent!!! And Cafe Colonial is good too. There is also La Provence for French food (and in excellent area, right in the heart of the city in tiny streets).
