Now that winter seems to be over, temperatures are rising, and Beer Garden season is rapidly approaching (If not already here)
Let's see if we can get a good group of us together to officially start the
Andechs season 2007.
Proposed dates are Saturday 21st or 28th July.
EDIT: I meant Saturday 21st or 28th April
EDIT 2: The date is now finalised for Saturday 28.Apr.2007
Please use the
sign-up sheet if you intend to come.
As usual we will meet-up in the ticket hall of
Hauptbahnhof around 10:30am and take the next avail. S5 to Herrsching around 10:45am.

If I hit
andechs this year, I hope to do it before July! Besides, those two weekends may already be out for me... End of school stuff for the kids ...

July 28th is the Munich Hash house harriers 400 hash weekend, we were planning something for that day.

Mid-July would be a good 2nd or third trip date, but...May 19th or 26th sounds more like it for a first TT trip of the year to
Andechs.

Darn - I have GOT to get to the hash more often... totally missed that bit of info. Yup. Rules out
andechs in any event.

DK, I am assuming that you mean 21 or 28 April. Just because April and July follow the same pattern does not mean that they are interchangeable

I'd be interested as well but I don't want to wait till July! 28th April sounds good!

The first trip of the year to
Andechs is usually in April, why wait till July?

The usual/traditional organiser, pootle, is currently on a tram - think the sign-up list and structure for the 2007 season are already there in principle but I'll remind him today, ok? He's away for a bit but
Andechs is the sort of TT day out that it is good to have a sign-up sheet for.
Then everyone can vote for dates probably nearer than July.
Plus seeing mods do something other than rename and delete is a fine thing.

EDIT: Oops he's got no time due to hols etc., other mods, can you do summat? Ta. Oh sign-up sheet is there already in first post? Great.

Are only traditional organisers allowed to initiate things?
Here I was thinking TT was a free for all

It Should say: APRIL not JULY... SorryAnd if you want to get technical, Crawlie started

If you want a sign-up list, you need a member of the management to get involved. It is that simple.
Renia
Apr 10 2007, 10:34 am
DK had a sign-up list to begin with. Its that simple.

Apr 10 2007, 10:35 am
Not until it was switched on dear.
The mods do that. Not me, nor DK, only mods.
Which they did - hence my edit.

But hey, you want to get all narky? Fine. The sign-up sheet is there now, that's the main thing. That a 2007 mock-up was already in existance previously isn't worth getting into a flap about as the general public won't have known that, but I did.

Apr 10 2007, 10:37 am

I think you can in the lower, real Biergarten. Not sure about the tables on top, but why not?

Apr 16 2007, 2:12 pm
Yes you most certainly can bring your own food. We covered a whole table with food a couple of years back.
Carm

thanks, only ever see photos of people eating their food, so I wasn't sure, as not every beergarten in the same.

has room on their ticket.

Apr 23 2007, 7:54 pm
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but if you are organizing a big group to
Andechs, you should know that the s-bahn only goes to Gaemering now where you have to catch a bus to Herrsching. Takes much longer. They are doing repairs on the tracks.

Apr 23 2007, 9:00 pm
can we take a BOB train?
I will bring some cheap prosecco for the train/bus ride, and will make a pasta salad and maybe some shortbread.
Jeeves
Apr 24 2007, 6:57 am
No you can't take a BOB. Or, to me more accurate, you could take a BOB but you would end up further away from
Andechs than if you didn't.
I might well pop in for an hour or so but shall be under my own steam so won't sign up. I owe DK a large drink anyhow...
Darkknight
Apr 24 2007, 7:20 am
There are 2 ways to get to
Andechs. 1 Being a bit longer than the other.
Us early birds will be on the 1st one. Those that would like to catch some more Beauty sleep
can take the 2nd option (Which is also 20min shorter in travel time and drops you off at the bottom
of the Andechs Hill).
Carm
Apr 24 2007, 8:59 am
I will be on the first one, and will drag some other people along as well.
We can figure out the tickets on saturday, as I have a Isar9 for the innenraum.
