Moving to Aachen

Hi All,

I'm moving from Washington, DC to Aachen this summer with my husband (German citizen). I've found tons of helpful info on this site, which has been a lifesaver so far. I'm very excited, and more than a bit nervous, about the move. I've been to Germany many times, but living there full-time is sure to be a totally different experience. If anyone has any general advice or helpful experiences, I'd be glad to hear them.

My friend lives in Aachen so have been there a fair few times. What kind of info are you after? I can ask my friend to give some tips!

I've seen the official tourist site for the city, and I've pretty much figured out all the legalities I'll need to take care of. So anything about actually living there would be great. Where are the cool hang-outs, any places to avoid, any large companies that might have offices there, etc. I'll take any and all info!

Well when we went we went to a nightclub called Starfish that was pretty cool. I shall message my friend asap, she's in England at the moment, but coming to Düsseldorf this weekend as far as I know.
