I am moving to Germany this summer, in Düsseldorf, me and my boyfriend want to visit an English nudist garden, are there any in Düsseldorf? Also how will people respond to a nude interracial couple? I am white and my boyfriend is black, muscular and gorgeous.

Down at the Rhine pretty much anything goes. You might want to take your cues from the locals, though. I everybody else wears shorts, your nudist stunt might attract unwanted attention. Next thing you know you're suffocated in swinger club flyers. Germans don't mind taking their kit off, but they are organised about it and don't like people breaking unwritten rules. So get a feel for what's cool where first. Good luck and enjoy.

They are going to stare at you incessesantly, thus making you feel self concious and possibly worry about racism. However, they will likely be staring at you simply because:

1. Germans normally like to stare at anyone and everyone. At least from what Ive experienced in public places. I dont do the nude sunbathing, sun screeen is your friend mmmkay but I never had much of a problem with germans in the naked saunas. But if they stare, its most likely cause staring is normal/acceptable here. Doesnt make you special but you do get bonus points if you get stared at by a blatant nose picker.. In fact after a while you'll catch yourself doing it as well, the staring not the nose picking thats just gross.

2. You plan to display naked, beefy, eye candy. Anyone would stare at you for that as well.

Have fun!

Wie bitte?

I thought this thread would be about an english style (Victorian) park.

So, what is an English nudist garden? Where would one find in England?

My advice would be to find out where the local Bagger See's are, stake them out.
You'll find a topless zone quickly enough, and a nude area wouldn't be far away.

Would any of you history inclined readers perhaps reply to the question regarding English(nudist) gardens. Though I have not yet researched it, in Munich the nudist ("FKK") areas are in the "Englische Garten" !!! Is there a parallell or a myth about nudism and the English? I find this somewhat unplausable- but I am curious.
best regards from berlin.

Last summer, while sitting outside at Starbucks in the packed city centre a woman wandered past completely starkers. Except for me and an Aussie pair at the next table, nobody batted an eyelid. Was pretty surreal actually. Maybe you should just try your luck in one of the parks.

I am certainly not a gardener but In German an "englischer Garten" more naturally landscaped as opposed to a "franzoesischer Garten" which is designed according to strict geometric principles and I believe has been interpreted as mastering nature, around Louis XIV and all that, but at this point I am way out of my depth.
There is certainly no link between English and nudism though, the OP must have misunderstood something.

righter,
In Berlin last year a Dominatrix walked past our coffee shop with her "date" for the evening attached by a riding crop and leash to a leather hood strapped to his head. Both were decked out in full leather gear, the works. No eyelashes batted at that, either. I love Germany.

They were probably on their way ot the kitkat klub (or on their way home after...)

@AC why not check outFKK Duesseldorf (not safe in my work!)

um, deccie, fkk is a euphemism for whorehouse, eh? not really what she's after.

No. FKK is an abbreviation for "Freikörperkultur" - basically nudism, and does not necessarily have any sexual connotations, although the term is sometimes perverted as seems to be the case with the club in the previous post.
jml
FKK in munich is just hanging about in the nude. No whorehouses implied though i guess one could likely spend a considerable amount of time hanging about nude in a whorehouse, if one were so inclined.

beaten again by YL6. ah well better man than me and all that wink.gif

yeah, Freikörperkultur (FKK )is just nude sunbathing, but when FKK is attached to the name of an establishment, that establishment is usually a place for paying for sex.

I was going to put this in but hit send to fast: if you type fkksexguide into google, you'll come up with a huge list of german brothels.
