Meet up to watch a movie

Hey! I wanna go see a movie, but my buddy is still home and so I'm pretty much left to myself here. I'm looking for a place to live in Germany, I've been here for a week and I'm gonna be here for the next as well, before going home for a while. So it would be cool if there where someone who would like to see a movie, walk around, eat some food and just hang out while I'm in town. I'm a 30 year old guy, moving from Norway to Berlin and I'm getting just a little bored So if you wanna hang out, talk english, norwegian, swedish or even signs, give me a buzz.

Hey...I'd TOTALLY be up for Notes on a scandal, Babel (which was up for a few oscars!) or Music and Lyrics! I have already seen Last King of Scotland (which while it was an EXCELLENT film...was too scary for me and gave me nightmares for about 4 days...!)

As for right now, well I don't have anything better to do, so I'm gonna go watch Alpha Dog, but I'm up for another movie after that. Today is that kind of day lol.

but alas...have ZERO interest in Alpha Dog...was in favor of the injunction against its release as they hadn't even gotten around to jury selection on the case when it came out!

*SCREAMS* I hate being on call sometimes.

I went to go get on the last bus to be able to catch the flick, and got called back into work. It's 7:30 pm and there's no way I'm gonna make it.

Speaking of Idi Amin, I learned while perusing Wikipedia that Yaphet Kotto played him in a movie about 30 years ago. I hadn't realized that Yaphet Kotto was that much younger than Forrest Whitaker.

Change of plans here - I'll go watch "300" with my brother tomorrow! You guys have fun tonight though, and let me know what you think!

Ok that movie was friggin awesome. Lots of fight scenes, buff men (where did they find 300 guys that have 6 and 8 paks?) and cool cinematics. Yeah, this was a movie that nearly every 14 year old boy (and older) will love.

I will say that parts of it were gruesome, but actually not so gruesome as some other movies I've seen. Plus, the format it's presented in is such that it's totally not real.

I'm intrigued! Thanks for your review, Rose. I'll let you know my thoughts after tonight.

Thanks Rose also from me, some of the reviews said it wasnt any good, but I did watch the trailer with a friend last night and well it looked really good. Cant trust those ?reviewers. (you posted your message at 7.14, must have been a good night aswell or you couldnt sleep )

Can't share a review, as I didn't make it to the movies tonight. My brother and I agreed to postpone.

I was thinking of catching the 19:45 show of the Prairie Home Companion film (which for some reason is called in Germany "Robert Altman's Last Radioshow") this Saturday at the Sony Center Potsdamer Platz. Anybody interested?

Okay, the plan is now to see the 18:00 show tomorrow (28.Apr.) at Hackesche Höfe Filmtheater. I think we'll meet around quarter to in Hackescher Markt, outside the Northeast exit of the S-Bahn station. We'll probably also grab dinner after the movie.
