Aikido martial arts studios in Munich

Locations and recommendations
SleeplessInMunich
Next week my Aikido club will be opening the doors of its new dojo at Lothstrasse 62, 80335 München. I have had 2 people from TT already tell me that they are interested in training and I have offered to take them along. The instruction is in German I'm afraid but there are plenty of people there that speak english and will help you out. When I joined I didn't have any German and even now its not the best but the club and trainer were worth the effort.

The website can be seen here Aikido Yoshinkai Deutschland

There are three free training sessions available if you want to try it out. If you are interested and want to go along but maybe not on your own or are even just curious to watch then drop me a PM and we can arrange to meet beforehand.

What days are the open door sessions next week? Times? - when do you normally go?
SleeplessInMunich
Its not any open door day as such. You can come along to any of the sessions that are listed as being for beginners. The 3 free seesions apply to whenever you happen to train. Could be 3 times in a week or once a week for 3 weeks.
BTW, this is the Aikido club that demonstrates at the Japanfest every year.

I normally go 2 or 3 times a week. Monday or Tuedday, Thursday and Saturday morning. But I am flexible and vary it quite a bit.

Any suggestion for Aikikai Aikido in Munich?

Try Adriano Trevisan on Wörthstrasse, not sure if he's aikikai but he is very good.

Try googling for Yoshinkan + Muenchen.

If anyone has interest in learning the martial art of Aikido, I can recommend Yomeikan Aikido dojo. Aikido is a non competitive martial art that focuses on leading the energy of your partner (attacker) and redirecting in a circular movement. It develops very good coordination, balance and flexibility, and is also a great way to get fit and focused. It can be practiced by anyone, young or old, male or female.

Yomeikan dojo holds training for mixed adults most mornings, every evening and also Saturdays. There is also an extra training for women on Saturdays. Childrens training is every afternoon. Training sessions are held in German (and Japanese!), but there are lots of English speakers and also Spanish, Russian, Italian, Greek, French. In all it's very international. Training for the first month is free.
