Just wondering what pay rises in German this year are like.
Does the increase in VAT effect payrises.
What would be a good pay rise for 2007 in Germany.
I would like 3% to compensate for the increase in VAT, is this realistic ???

It should. And if you have a good works Council and Tariff contract it prob. will. If not your boned.
3% is basically inflation, so that is just a normal pay rise really. Keeps you on the same level as before.
The point of increasing MwSt was to make the government richer by making you poorer.

Very true.. but I'd still expect 3%..

hah, if that were true! I know very few people that get a cost of living raise every year.
