Hello,
So my friend told me she is leaving shortly today. We have been going out for lunches every week for so long. Now despartely I am searching for a tt outing that meets over the lunch time (maybe into the early afternoon). I would love to meet up in the evening, but I am unable to with a child that comes home from school about 16:00. Please, could either someone send me in the right direction to find this type of group or maybe there might be some other people interested in a lunch in the city area.

The city area is big, honey. Can you narrow it down to maybe
Altstadt,
Lehel, Maxvorstadt etc.? Thanx

I am not sure that the location really matters to me. Luckly the
MVV goes almost everywhere. I guess just getting out for the afternoon & speaking english for a few hours of my day is enough for me.

I am fundamentally in favour of lunchtime skiving, but can't do till after Easter. If you organise something, I bet you'll find enough takers. Location probably does matter to people who have to get back to work though.

We've done a couple of lunchtime meets in the past in
Neuhausen.
But it is really hard to coordinate for people that are working.
As in full time paid employment, as opposed to working being a home-maker I mean.

I'd be up for a lunch gathering. Not working right now...so plenty of time on my hands and location is not really an issue to me either.

Surely there are enough freelancers/students/stay-at-home parents/general slackers around on TT though? I reckon we could get something started, especially when the weather's better.

Even for those who work on fixed schedules it could be a possibility if the chosen venue is close to their workplace. For me it's out of the question since I'm working rather far from the centre, but I'm pretty sure that if you propose a venue and a date, you'll get some responses.

I am in
Lehel and have a few good places close to work (U-Bahn stop Lehel, not the other side of
Maximilianstrasse). Would be a nice change from bread and Wurst in the kitchen at the office.
Sounds a great idea. I often want to come to TT meet ups but can't due to VHS and
babysitting. A late morning or lunch would be ideal. It's still a nuisance though, the latest my son finishes school is 1pm.

I am up for anything after the whole Easter week. What kind of restaurants are in the
Lehel area? Fortunately (or unfortunatly

) I will eat almost anything!

Lunchtime meet up sounds a good idea.
I may be around during the day for the next few weeks (oh and the evenings) so would be interested.

lunchtime meets sound good. I work between Hackerbrücke and
HBF, so anything central (
Karlsplatz,
Marienplatz -- on the main S-Bahn line) is great for me. Wouldn't be able to stay long as I'll have to get back to work...but I'll join if I can!

I'd be interested - I'm centrally located workwise so if it happened to be nearby I'd be up for it.

Sounds like fun...organise something and there will be people!

I'd suggest a first meeting after Easter (lots of people are traveling during this time, I think).
Pour moi, any day but Wednesday is good.

Sounds a good idea.
Makes lunchtime a bit more social...

First suggestion:
Donisl at
Marienplatz. The food is traditional and the service generally pretty quick. Main dishes are €7.35 at the most and look pretty good - the menu has pictures. Last time I ate there was about two years ago, the food was faultless. Hacker-Pschorr for you luckies who can drink at noon.
P.S. The menu is only available on the German site.
