Any Aussies about here?

Interested in meeting up?

Hey I´m feeling a little homesick, and I´m wondering if they´re any Aussies interesting in meeting??? They´re so many English and Americans here, but I just want to meet more Aussies biggrin.gif
Timmeh
Aussies all over the shop. Try the arc when their cricket team is playing, you can hardly move for all the cork adorned hats.

On rare occasions there used to be the odd Aussie night out. Perhaps we can drum up some interest in another one. Although I'm more out of Munich than in Munich these days, I would be interested if the timing was right.

I think most of the longer term Aussies need a lot of coaxing though as we suffer from the "cultural cringe".

Thats hilarious, Ive never met an Aussie that cringed at anything, especially Australia. Maybe I know the wrong Australians.

Try Earls Court, bloody thousands there. wink.gif

Sorry but where is Earls Court?

Its in London, where there are no shortage of Aussies. As someone mentioned earlier, I think most Australians go overseas to get away from other Australians, so there aren't really meet ups like this organised. While I don't have anything against other Australians, I certainly don't go out of my way to meet them.

Earls Court is in the UK so may be a bit far...

Hi
I'm one of the Aussies hiding away here. It would be great to meet up.
Can you contact me?

Hey folks another aussie here, though I'm in a small city 45min from Munich by train.

I think that other fella was onto something regarding the 'cultural cringe' thingy, I feel a bit like that sometimes, but maybe because I've lived in Oz for 22 years and have been here in Deutschland for only 3 months so far, so German culture is more interesting for me at this stage. Nevertheless, a meetup might be a cool idea.
