As a lot of you know, we have been looking to sell
The Arc for a little while now. Well we have a buyer and the handover date is 1 April. So next Sunday.
As such Saturday night will be the last night that Jason and I will be involved in the place.
So we're going to have a 'Drink us dry party'.
Party starts at 6pm
€20 entry. This includes all drinks all night. Beer, wine, soft drinks, cheap and expensive spirits - whatever we have left.
Oh and just so everyone knows, the new management intends to keep everything going as usual. Including Quiz night, karaoke, sports, etc. The staff will remain the same, so apart from us leaving, it will be business as usual.
But it would be great to see you there for one final bash as owner.
Jason and myself would like to thank you for all your support over the last 2 and a half years.

Aw, your baby's all grown up... well done. I'm sure after your fine drunken parenting she'll sail on just fine and I'll certainly do my best to help you drink her dry on Saturday.
Congrats to the new owner too.

Is this an April Fools??
Wish I could be there Hazza, had some fun times in
the Arc, both in front of and behind the bar. was also the venue for my first ever intro to the TT crowd where I met Foxy, Jimbo and a certain 3 Lions...it was all down hill from there

Good luck with your future endeavours, I'm sure you'll be a success wherever you go

Crap, I have a tour the next morning! If I had known a week ago, I would have been sure to take the next day off. My gf is leaving for the states that morning, so it'd have been perfect (no complaining about me puking all over the place, etc.).
I wish you the best on whatever you're doing next...and lots of us have had many good times thanks to you...the best expat bar in Munich.

I've never had an
Arc Burger
Now I guess I never will ...

Mar 26 2007, 4:52 pm
Well, unless you have a sepcific reason for never going there then you probably will at some point. The ownership is changing but everything else will stay the same so the
Arc Burger will continue...

Mar 26 2007, 4:56 pm
Do we know the new owners? ...I probably won't make it down to
the Arc til next week, so it'll have changed over...as long as I can still have my
arc burger, they're damn good.

As much as possible. Franziskaner was my tipple of choice and I always liked to rock along to Kenny Rogers on the old Karaoke. Or you could do a bit of Chas n Dave. Now that would be grand luv... Ta

€20 all you can drink? Oh dear. Will you be offering your burgers early doors? Could be a good idea to have one of them at about 6ish in readiness for the drinkathon.
Edit: just realised the half-marathon is the day after this. This party has just put paid to 3 months of hard training. Darn! Stadtlauf in June it is then.

Now that is what I call a healthy attitude to running.
DJ_Jazzy_Guff
Mar 27 2007, 12:42 pm
You know dat!

Actually, I've now decided to do my own half-marathon during the day on Saturday from Hollriegelskreuth to Munich and then reward myself in the evening. How about that for a healthy attitude?

Should be a bit nicer running all the way down the
Isar than 4 times around a dull old park. I'll earn my beer(s) and burger don't you worry about dat!

Although not, by nature, a pub-going sort of bloke I've come to appreciate
The Arc - quite often actually.
So, well done you two on creating such a great environment.
Congratulations on the sale and
unless I have anything better to do see you on Saturday.

That was one of the best nights out for quite a while, old faces and unexpected guests mingled - as it were - like bacteria in a petri dish, and I am quite ashamed of posting so early, proving I came away shortly after midnight (the journey home is a two-part novel). I was glad to see (insert names) and missed (insert other names).
Thank you again, Harry and Jason, for being who you are and what you have meant to me (and possibly others) for the last three years. All the best for your future!
