Ok, so i remember a thread i started a while back about a party or pissup or doing something or other and Carm replying that such priviledges were only open to supporters over the 3k grenze.
So, what new vistas await me as i step into the 4th millenium and where do i claim them?
Looks like a few beers and cocktails may be in order tomorrow night

Dude, congrats, but that is about all there is. Talk to the hand until you go over 5k. The hand is sometimes buying beers and sometimes accepting them. That is the true meaning of life and posting. In other words, you have to buy the next round.

I been surfing this forum for one year and only got 66 official posts, so its gogin to take me another 45 years to reach 3000.

Some sort of special party? I've organized party's and pissups before...and I am not even near the 3k...

Welcome to the realm of 3000 posts and above. This is traditionally celebrated by you taking everybody with more than 3500 posts out for a drink.
Who's with me?
For he's a jolly good fellow
For he's a jolly good fellow
For he's a jolly good fe-hellow
And so say all of us
Congratulations, you are officially a waster. Just like me.
But seriously dude. D'ya reckon if I posted a weird techie request on TT, somebody out there may be in-the-know? I need a cheap, mixable, pourable substance that sets like ultra-hard rubber, holds it's form, doesn't stick, is relatively thermally stable, and I can re-use over and over again. I need it as a mould at 350 dia x 50 thick. Any ideas?
bluedave
Mar 22 2007, 11:27 pm
Thermo plastics like tuffnal or the like would probably suit my friend, coated with a thin layer of thiokol.
All aerospace companies use the stuff.
Sin
Mar 22 2007, 11:28 pm
Who makes it?
bluedave
Mar 22 2007, 11:34 pm
I think and i'm quite likely wrong that it was originally developed by Du Pont in the states but it is now a staple for all aerospace applications where temp stability, rigidity and light weight is an issue, used for all hydraulics mounting issues.
EDit : Seems i spelled it wrong originally, it is called Tufnol and
this company makes it in the UK.

Congrats though I'll be damned if I know how you suddenly got to three thousand. I never seem to get beyond 387 but it's probably cos I post a load of senseless tosh.

oh, shit, I wasn't suppose to tell, you have no idea, what flak I have gotten for letting that baby slip past my lips.
I am looking forward to the 5000club! Heard there is nice benefits once you reach that level. Just don't know if I can keep up with the beat up 2 newbies a week rule.
this is all a joke- there really is not special club, so please don't get your knickers in a twist

no, weird net saddos don't tend to get out and actually meet the people they chat with. weird net saddos tend to just stay at home and snipe at people from the comfort of their own home where no-one can hurt them.

Greentea you don't feel any different cause you didn't celebrate it. When I come to Munich, we'll go for a drink.

Actually I find it strange that all you thousand club members, actually don't know how many posts you have made!
Bluedave in fact is a member of the 5000 club, not 3000!
miscellaneous posts, shown below the main number, do not get included in the main post count, pointed out to me by EB a while back!
And if you don't believe me, view his posts, 216 pages at 24 per page = 5184, approximately!
Well done BD, it is official you have a lot of time on your hands, especially at 1am, 2am, etc!

you have 145 posts in your official count, 172 in Misc, total 317!
Check your post list, 13 pages, right?

this have any effect on peoples post counts?
I've counted 25 posts per page?

The way I've interpreted this article, as I read it in the Business News paper this morning, is that, by law, the Forum owner is responsible for content and anything anyone might post that can be construed as an insult or defamation. However, one of the two insults/insulters wasn't accountable as the insulted knew the insulted personally. I'll check the offline article again, but I'm pretty sure that was the upshot. And here in the
SZ: "Im Fall des anderen Autors verneinte das Gericht einen Anspruch, weil der Kläger direkt gegen seinen "Weggefährten" hätte vorgehen können." Where else would you be where you can't even point your finger at your head without getting sued for it?

Well actually, most of the people in this thread who are talking about their post counts are regular attendees at TT Munich events.
So it is obvious that they do get out and meet real people, they are not faceless, no profile posters. Unlike some we could mention.

yes, I know, I am a hopeless case, I never get out an meet anybody at all. Problem is I am just too shy to attend an event on my own, and nobody has offered to hold my hand to make sure I make my debut at an event. I have heard the Curry night is fun, also the karoke night at The Arc, or even the cocktail nights... but I would rather sit at home and read about people attending these events.
