Work address changes and limited work permits

Validity of a visa if sponsoring company is bought

Wondering if anyone here has dealt with this: my company has been sold, but at the moment, my job title and company name are not changing. I have a limited three year visa and residence permit. However, my work location IS changing. When I got my visa, I was told by the KVR that if anything changed - location (i.e. address), title, obviously employer - that I would need a new visa. My new company is telling me that it is not a problem to work at a new location without informing the KVR. Does that seem correct? I am trying to reach the KVR to ask, but it usually takes me several tries (and days) to reach them. Hoping that someone at TT has had the same experience and knows whether I should worry or not. Thanks.

Common sense would suggest you simply write to the KVR and inform them of your new employment address. Also tell them that the title and company name are not changing. That's all you need to say. Don't mention that the company has been bought - that is an irrelevant detail. It would be a very short letter. Quite simple really.

Amazingly, got an answer at the KVR right away! And the answer is...yes, you need a new visa. It's just an address change - bringing a letter from the company with the new address info. So, just in case anyone else has the situation - now you know the answer. Oh, and this is if the company address is on the visa - sometimes ones are issued without a street address, but that is not my case.
