Grinner, today in the Marienplatz why didn't you go up to some of those unattached "elder-flowers" and strike up a conversation, or introduce yourself, or even give them your business card and invite them to tea or dinner later? Spontaneity can be very appealing for women.

I would venture to say, some of those "elder flowers" may want some companionship as well, but instead will be lonely tonight because you nor them made an effort to meet today.

First post up a pic, so these "elderflowers" know that you are not a ball of hideousness.
Next- how about you age, interests, basic info
Third - really state what you are looking for in a "friend"
Fourth - If you actually ARE looking for a relationship or to date then just admit that...state what you want and stop trying to minimize it.
Fifth - I would switch to a humor tone over that moaning angst...it sounds pathetic
