I know Saturday Finnegans Irish Pub in the Altstadt near the HBf is having a bunch of singing and such tomorrow night starting around 9 following the Rugby matcth. I don't know if I'll be there but there will be a bunch of English speakers there.

I'm also new to the area- in Erlangen- and I would love to meet some people. I'll check out the Franconia thread, but I'd be up for coming to Nuremburg this weekend for drinks if someone want to choose a pub!

I think it is great that Lexicon is arranging some meet-ups, you may have seen me appear on nearly all Nürnberg threads in the past. I arranged the first TT meet-up last September but at that time there were only 4 of us in total, 2 of which were moving back to the USA the next day.
After that I gave up on the fact that TT'ers in the 'Berg' were few and far between, which is crazy as I work with a lot of Brits and English speakers but it's not always ideal to constantly socialise with your work colleagues.
I have lived here for a long time but only last year did I finally start to meet people outside of the workplace, mainly from constantly visiting 'The Kings Arms' which is the only English pub in Nürnberg! Address is on this website.
Well I can tell you that a friend of mine called Dan (from Oz) is having a get together for drinks as it's his birthday. This will be in the Kings Arms on Saturday night, so that may be a good starting point for you guys to meet a few people.
Also I can recommend Finnegans, The Druid and O'sheas's as I know quite a few staff/owners of these bars and they are all friendly guys. As I am writing this, I am aware that my meeting points are only in pubs! well, in my experience that has been the easiest way if you want to meet other English speakers!
