Airport transfer vouchers - S-Bahn tickets

I'm looking for a travel agent that provides airport transfer vouchers i.e. vouchers for the S-Bahn. I know the Flugbörse (Reichenbachstr.) for example used to supply the coupon free with flight tickets, but has since given it up, due the cost. Does anyone know of a travel agent who still offers this service?. Thanks biggrin.gif

We have a CORPORATE deal at work where we pay EUR 20 y ear for travel to and from the airport when flying with tickets through a particular agency.

I'd say that as there is now almost NO margin in the business to offer such deals in most cases, especially now that Lufthansa and others are twisting the price screw even further.

Get the cheapest deal possible and pay MVV € 8 for a ticket.

Cheers for the tip grtho. True the best deals for tickets are almost always from the Airlines direct. The saving being usually much greater than the cost of the return S-Bahn trip €17.
For anyone who's interested quite a lot of travel agents still offer these free vouchers for the S-Bahn, see this list from the MVV for more details. Most seem to only offer the free tickets with package holidays though.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has any tips on how to get around having to pay so much to get to the airport each time.

I mean the MVV/DB rip you off - €8.50 each way mad.gif (when you travel alone). If you travel in a group (up to 5 people) you only pay like €3.20 if you divide the cost of Partnertageskarte by 5.

I travel a fair bit to the Airport, mosty Friday evenings, as I am sure a lot of TTers do. Would anyone be interested in setting up a Forum to arrange for people to meet to share a partner ticket out to the Airport. Something along the lines of: Travelling to Airport this Friday on the 16:30 S8 from Marienplatz, anyone else heading the way at the same time- meet at suchplace. wink.gif

Take a taxi then. That'll stop you from complaining about the price of the S-bahn ticket.

If you are travelling so much to the airport, you must be doing a lot of flying I assume. Well, seems to me that 8.50 is pretty negligible expense compared to the price of an airline ticket, unless all of your flights are super cheapo. In which case, be glad you got a cheap flight!
grtho
Use a Streifenkarte, its a bit cheaper.

If you already have zones on you Isarcard you can just use an "Aussenraum" day ticket : € 4 .50

It IS really sneaky mind how the airport is the only station on the s bahn that is in the fourth ring! mad.gif

Well 8.50 ain't too bad..in Stockholm we used to pay about 20 Euros for a one way train to the airport..keep in mind that this was a express train..compared to the slow S-bahns here. But we got clever and found a local train that got us to the airport in the same amount of time for about 9 euros. tongue.gif

I think all tickets booked with FTI (see www.fti.de )come with free MVV vouchers for the outward and return days. Also other agents who use FTI as a bulk supplier also supply them. I often (but not always) get them on flights booked though Just Travel ( www.toytowngermany.com/service/?id=justtravel )
