So there's this spry 91 year old East German man doing some repairs and maintenance to his roof and he has forgotten that the tar he is using to mend said roof is quite sticky. wink.gif

QUOTE
A 91-year-old German sparked a rescue operation when he slipped mending his roof and got stuck fast in tar "like a beetle on its back", police said on Tuesday.

Passerbys thought that the guy was attempting to commit suicide but he had actually just slipped on the roof and got caught fast in the bitumen.

QUOTE
"When we got there, he was like a beetle on its back, with his arms and legs sprawled out and completely glued to the roof," he added. "Due to his age, he couldn't free himself from his unfortunate situation."

What i particularly like is the end result to the situation.

QUOTE
He was unharmed, but had sticky clothes, police said.

Grinner
I know how he feels!! laugh.gif
Uncle Nick
@Grinner: so you stick the satelites to the roof with bitumen do you?
MadAxeMurderer
No Grinner knows how it feels to be 91
sarabyrd
He's pretty limber for a 91-yr-old, though. I hope he didn't dislocate his hip there.
Uncle Nick
Who, Grinner?
sarabyrd
The old geezer, of course. For that stupid question I will not look at you all evening during dinner.

I guess at this point i have to point out that the above picture is not of the actual chap himself and is just a Googled image to portray the situation. smile.gif

Public Service Announcement Over.
Uncle Nick
@sarabyrd: after MAMs post I wasn't quite sure who you meant. As for not looking at me, I shall return the compliment!
Johnny English
I reckon Grinner knows what it is like to have sticky clothes.
Yeti
Why has Grinner taken off one shoe in that photograph?
sarabyrd
Who stole the source from the pĂcture?
Uncle Nick
@Yeti: maybe it was originally only his shoe that got stuck?
