actually I didnt want to meet Doherty !! I was dragged there by a certain young lass.

Defo top spot to see hot teenys in mini 'rocks' screaming at anyone moving towards the entrance.

By God though its a cold spot to wait for hours though!!

There's some sort of party up the road near josephplatz at a hall or something. My bf hangs up those club posters and was told to only put them around the celebs hotels and parties so they think the awards are a big deal to everyone

It's a school night. Anyway, I just got home from the pub...

My favourite bit was the Best German Act. One Turkish and one Tunisian candidate, and the winner was one of them. It's as German as it gets (ok, Bushido is half-German but still...)

How did anyone think Snoop could have been even a half decent host? That was terrible TV saved only by Dave's VIP bar. He need's his own talk show. A last minute arrangement methinks.

Agreed ! Snoop was pretty half-arsed, so much so that it seemed like the Foo Fighters were the hosts for the evening. May be the G was just jetlagged

Two pals of ours, Claydog and the guy whose TT name I can never remember, called us at 6 ish and said they'd managed to get into the VIP pre-party. We made a quick attempt to look smart and took a taxi straight down there. After a few failed attempts, we found one doorman gullible enough to let us in so we could 'fetch our tickets'. Step 1, get into party room - check!

We met up with our pals and enjoyed the free drinks and finger food - complimentary of course. Tons of MTV folk from the telly and other people trying to look important. Next thing we noticed that everyone else seemed to have a wristband of some kind. Suddenly the bar closed and everyone started moving towards the tunnel that led to the EMAs. To cut a long story short we hunted around for some discarded tickets and VIP packs and shit - and actually found one with a ticket in it! - and headed through. As luck would have it, no ticket checks!! We managed to find some free seats and then proceeded to get the guy at the VIP bar to give us free drinks cos 'our wristbands had fallen off!'. Step 2, see the show and get free drinks - check!

Now how about that after show party? Without those darn wristbands, they were not letting us through to the shuttlebus point...that is until we met Mr nice and gullible man number 600 of the evening! After some networking we found our way onto a bus. Step 3, get on the bus to the party - check!

The bus then got bogged down in traffic about a mile from the party. As luck would have it, two of the guys on the bus had a change of heart and decided they wanted to just go back to town. I suggested they may have no need for their wristbands...and they agreed!! Wristbands = after show party entry!! Free drinks and huge party till 5 in the morning! Step 4, crash the after show party - check!

Including a taxi and a McDonald's, the whole night cost me €14. Not bad! Absolutely tremendous time, met tons of cool people and just blagged the night away. If you want to book yourself in for blagging lessons, call me!
