Gay bars that sell Guinness

I'm guessing I'm going to have to go to an Irish pub for this, but does anyone know of a gay bar in Berlin selling Guinness ?

If not whats the nearest drink to guinness sold over here ?? Just off the boat so still adjusting

Never seen Guinness in a gay bar here. Not the most popular drink with the Gay community.

I might be missing something here but whatabout just going into any Irish pub, why the need for a Gay Bar to be selling the Guinness? Berlin is a pretty mellow place

There's an Irish pub called the "Oscar Wilde" in the Friedrichstraße, if that's any help. I don't recall ever having visited it, so don't know whether the name is a reflection of the clientel.

Or is "Guinness" a euphemism for something?

I can't remember seeing anything down at the Nollendorfpl. end that sells Guinness. Well as for the supply of Guinness... Maybe we have the ENGLISH stock exchange listed Diageo to thank for that one... They have the cheek to close down Dublin St James' Gate plant. How dare they...

The Guinness website shows places by Postleitzahl which sell Guinness though - just can't seem to find any Bar names I recognize in their listings.

Urgh. I know - it's a real shame when you're out & about and you have to resort to a Becks or something. Bottled beers sell like hot cakes, so I don't know why they can't even have a few bottles of Guinness tucked away in the cooler fridge.

Going back a few years.. but Guinness was HQed in Essen/NRW. I'm not sure about nowadays and how they distribute and what their marketing strategy is like, but I do know through friends that they have become very cheap and miserly over the years. Things like ashtrays, beermats, sun umbrellas, T shirts (which the coca cola co. hands out for free as part of free advertising) you have to pay for to have in your own Irish Pub (how cheap is that???)

If you're desperate for a Guinness, it depends on the Irish Pub you go to - but from personal experience I would say stay away from the ones which attract the thug element from England (sigh!). They usually take their homophobia with them in their suitcase when they go to an Irish pub in Germany.

Dont know if this is reaching but isn't a place that sells Guinness a very gay (and happy) place . They have real beer in Germany too

Slumberland (Goltstr. 24 - U Bhf Nollendorfplatz) sells Guinness. It's not a gay bar (cosy Caribbean vibe), but it's certainly in that part of the world if you're out of an evening.
