Early Saturday morning, 8th May 2004, the S-Bahn S6 (Erding to Tutzing) crashed into an oncoming works train. There were around 110 passengers on board and half were injured, none fatally. The crash happened shortly before the station Leuchtenbergring, eastern Munich. Theory is that the works train caused the accident when the driver failed to comply with signals.
