Playboy Germany's playmates

Many of them are from Munich

Did you know that over 20% of all of Playboy's Playmates from the last 5 years have come from Munich? Those are the bare statistics. Before you go thinking that Munich is a center for world glamour lets qualify those statistics. The naked truth is that the 20% statistic applies to all Playmates published in Playboy Germany *only*. And not only that but Playboy Germany is based in Munich. On the Prinzregentenstrasse in Haidhausen to be exact. So this makes it much more convenient for the ladies of Munich to attend castings.

This year, 2003, the December playmate was Nadia Chérif. Melanie Eder was the girl of choice for October. Both come from Munich. In 1999 and 2000 the playmates of the year were Sonja Ugrik and Patricia Münster respectively, again both from Munich. Other recent playmates from Munich have been Anke Hermann, Ukrike Klaeger, Mirja Du Mont, Kathrin Strauss, and last but not least, the playmate of the century Miss Gitta Saxx.

Apparently Munich will shortly be seeing an even greater influx of top models. The modelling agency Metropolitan Models will be opening a studio here on 11th December 2003. Metropolitan are already based in New York and Paris where they worked with the Supermodels Eva Herzigova, Heidi Klum, and Claudia Schiffer.

If glamour models are your thing, check the "Miss Bavaria" competition on Saturday 17th Jan at the Kultfabrik. I just read about it in the newspaper this afternoon. Apparently the show starts at 9.30 pm (doors open at 8pm) in the club "K.P.O." in the Kultfabrik area. Entrance is €5. The winner of this Miss Bavaria (Miss Bayern) contest will go on to compete in the Miss Germany show.
