Right, I'm not an expert.
But if the Hausverwaltung looks sfter four different buildings that are in the same street, I am sure they are NOT allowed to put the costs into one pot and then share it out becasue you end up having to bear costs that you can't influence or gain from.
Of couse, say your elderly neighbour needs longer on the stair so has the communal lights on longer, you end up paying a buit for that bit its in your house.
You shouldn't be paying for stuff in other buildings, PARTICUARLY a lift for example.
When the bill comes for the end of year tally up, there's basic details in the letter.
There HAS to be an invitation to examine the books at the office of the Hausverwaltung during business hours and a period in which you can reject their calculations.
*) Make sure you are paying your share of your house alone.
*) Check how the total is split. Is it divided by the number of units or sq. metres nd is the calculation right
*) Go and look at the bins just before collection, are you paying for cubic metre refuse disposal that isn't being used?
*) How often is the Hausmeister there? Once a week to check communal lightbulbs an mop the staits? Then check its not for permenant service you are paying for.
Also check tha the Housemeister isn't the brother or cousin etc of the Hausverwaltung.
etc etc
Maybe the figure is right Grinner, but it does strike me as large.
The
Mietverein is about €80 a year but if you have a case you will obviously get that money back almost immediately.
All the best.
