Politians can retire and get their pension at 55.

Did some research, and apparently these are the details:

MPs (Bundestag) can retire at 55 if they've served as MPs for at least 18 years. If they've served for a shorter time, their retirement age is higher (65 if they've only served for 8 years). If you are a Minister in the federal cabinet, then you can retire at 55 if you've served for at least one full term (i.e. 4 years).

Ìt was bound to happen, as you see older people enjoying the lifestyle to be physically fit, which is without a doubt commendable, the beuaroctrats conivingly have taken advantage of this. Not everyone sits in a big comfortable chair for making a living, there are people who really do break sweat to feed the family, the thing is the system will have them dry before 67, because statistically, reaching the pension years, one commonly has, arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, cholestrol, in which after 65 till 67, the system hopes you simply DIE from one of these and if you dont suffer from any of these, then work will perhaps kill you off, especially if you are a brick layer, working in construction, and steel works, well anything that doesnt wear a white shiny shirt. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL.

By the time I get to 'retirement age' it will probably be 90 or something anyway...or 'until on death bed'...
