Spring cocktails at Negroni

OK, so it's been a while since we've had a Cocktail Night, so, in conference with Jenny L, we thought next friday was a good time to celebrate the early arrival of Spring / non arrival of Winter.

We've tried Tacos Y Tequila and Escobar amongst others and thought that it was time to give the uber cocktail bar Negroni a chance to sample some TT Cocktail crowd revelry.

Date : Friday 16th March 2007

Time : 7.00 pm onwards

Dress : Preferably for the women but guys, if you must, you must.

We've had a great laugh and fond memories of Tequila induced hangovers from previous outings so let's do it all again.

Newbies and seasoned salty dogs, come one, come all.

Oh yeah, just to make it clear, non smokers are welcome.

Great location I can walk stagger/crawl home from there!

i will be there good excuse to have long island ice teas

Although the service is often so slow you forget why you're there, the cocktails I've eventually had means I do forget why I'm there.

do they do any with Absinth? that would be bad

Absinth is really evil avoid it at all costs, otherwise you will end up like this

Too right, I think I'll stick to Brain Tumours cocktails...

I have three bottles of absinth at home. It's so vile looking and smelling that I've never actually tried it. My friends all say it's dangerous stuff though.

it depends on the strength and from where its from. The stuff from the Czech Rep. can be very wicked!

Not to cast a sour note, but how will we handle the bill/tab? Just a general question being thrown out there for veterans and newbies alike from past experiences. Flame torches down please!

would be best pay as you go, or everyone gets a paper and get the bar staff to write it down on your paper. But Pay as go is best.

May be a good idea to warn the bar that we want to do pay as you go. From experience in there it is already sllooooooooooowwwww for service. Lovely cocktails though!

They said they will call me tonight to confirm so i will warn them then although i will be just doing my usual deckel marking routine to be honest.
