Someone just told me it was "Cake Day" today in Munich. Now, I don't live in Munich, but this definitely sounds like a holiday I could get on board with. Haha...anyone know the skinny?

"Pancake Day" was the 20th of February - Fasching Dienstag. Aka Shrove Tuesday. Perhaps that's what they meant?

Out here in the sticks, I think every day is Cake Day. They always seem to have it on hand, anyway.
I've just been sent an e-card wishing me Happy Cheesecake Day!

Well, I've never met a piece of cake I didn't like...including cheesecake. Although, I must say, I do NOT like it how these Germans ruin their cakes with fruit, of all things...cake should be covered with icing, and nothing else (except for the occasional sprinkle, of course).
