Disgusting Surprise
Hey all,

Im planning on going to Stuttgart on Tues or Wed and just have a quick question. Basically I was thinking of getting the Bayern Ticket to the Border with Baden Wurtemburg and then getting a "Baden Wurtemburg Card" and getting that the rest of the way to Stuttgart. Sounds like an ok plan right?

However, Im not really sure were to go on the border: I looked at a map of Germany and Ulm is between Bayern and Baden Wurtemburg. Though, from looking at it, Its kind of more in Baden Wurtemburg. Though there was a liitle bit of Ulm on the Bavarian side called "Neu - Ulm".

So my question is - does anyone know how I can pull this off? Perhaps get the train with the Bayern Card to Neu Ulm and then get off and buy a Baden Wurtemburg Ticket and travel the rest of the way to Stuttgart?

Im not sure if thats valid or it is just possible to go all the way to Ulm? tongue.gif

Thanks in advance!

For BayernTicket purposes the following stations/routes count as Bavaria:

Kufstein
Lindau via Kißlegg
Reutte im Tirol line
Salzburg
Ulm

Are you travelling on your own? If so, then it's just not worth it. The Munich to Stuttgart price is €41 by EC. A Bayern Ticket Single costs €19 and the Baden-Württemberg-Ticket Single costs €18, costing you a total of €37. However, the journey is slower and the trains are less comfortable, and you have to change. If there are two or more people then it's worth it (the two Länder tickets would cost about €55 together).
