Hi All
I'm currently studying overseas in London at the LSE and will be visiting Berlin at the end of March. I am a huge college basketball fan and was wondering if anyone knows how I can catch the Tourney games in Berlin. Specifically I am a huge Georgetown fan (I'm a third year student at Gtown).
Basically I am assuming that many of the games will be broadcast on NASN. Does anyone know if there is a bar in Berlin that has that channel and would be willing to play the games???
I was directed to this website and saw that Salama's had NASN? Would they play the Tourney would anyone want to meet up and catch a couple of games?? I'm only in Berlin for a week or so and need a little help figuring out how to figure this out. Also are there any other bars in Berlin that have NASN? Hard Rock or the like, etc...?
March Madness might be one of the best things around and it would be a shame to miss it.
Thanks All.

Agreed, it is my favorite sporting event of the year.
Salama's should be able to accomodate...quite the interesting little place--you will be watching games on a 19-inch there.
The other joint you might want to check out is the Old Emerald Isle, as that is a place that is known to show American sports. The staff is pretty friendly and is usually accomodating in that regard as well.
Luckily I will be in the States for the entire tournament, and probably in San Antonio that weekend to see (hopefully) the Hawk's...
BTW, don't think your Hoyas will be playing past the Sweet 16

Good luck...

In the early rounds the March Madness games start pretty early, so I'd love to watch them. Maybe Belushi's will have them on? I watched the superbowl there and it was a great atmosphere. I think it'd be much of the same for MM.

We had one here last year and before that from Yahoo, but with no money at stake. In fact, two years ago one of our own got like second or tied for first or something crazy like that in all of Yahoo's MMPicks.

I'll be doing my best to watch over the 'net this year. In Frankfurt the Marriott usually has them on the bigscreen and they've been known to stay open an hour extra but not longer.

Anyone doing a pool?
I'd be in for one for a small amount of money (like 5-20 euro), but how would that be organized?

I have just moved here from the US and I am missing my sports real bad as well. There is a bar over off of Alexander plots on Rosa Luxemburg street called Belushi's, that is where I was able to catch the superbowl. they are pretty slow if nothing is going on but if there is some game on it is crowded and crazy and fun. check out the website
http://www.belushis.com/venues/belushis-bars-in-berlin and see if they are showing your games.

I've watched some ball games at a touristy bar right next to the Radisson SAS in Mitte last year...But I also know that they play Eurovision ( !!!)...So may be they just tune in to suit the biggest group in the bar...good luck

if there's anyone who lives near belushi's can you stop in there and ask them about it? i think it would be perfect if they had the games on.

I live close enough and I will be out and about tomorrow, so checking on it is no problem. I will post what I find out!

I just went to Belushi's and talked to the guy and it seems as though there will be games all weekend. It's whatever is on NASN, but looking at the schedule it seems like they will have everything.

Hey guys I'll be at Belushi's probably for most of the night. I'll be wearing a blue and white michigan state t-shirt, so say hi if you see me!
