Two rugby clubs in Munich

Hello to all rugby fans out their, if you're are interested in playing or you wish to start playing then check out Munich Rugby club. There are at present 3 teams, a 1st team for players who wish to play at a high level, for those who want have loads of fun there is 2nd's team, and for any women who wish to play we have a women's team as well.

StuSta also play in the 2. Bundesliga and are trying to put out a second team in the Bayernliga.

Did you know there are 2 rugby teams in Munich? and they are actually playing each other this weekend. How about you joining in?

Venue: English Garden (see stusta website, under Training for directions to pitch)
Time: 17:00

OK, I don’t want to over sell it too much. This is actually a game between the 2nd teams of both clubs. (The game follows the Stusta first team game against HTV, kick-off 3pm). From experience, it will be a game more noted for enthusiasm than skill.

Why not come and watch, or better still, why not play? Both teams are always looking for players and is a great way to meet people, especially if you have just moved to Munich.

So grab your boots and come along for a bit of fun and of course a few beers!!!

There are 2 rugby clubs in Munich

1) Munich RFC - www.munich-rugby.de
Traditionally Munich RFC has been seen as the more senior club (but in the last couple of years both clubs have had their first team playing in the same league).

2) Munchen Studentenstadt - www.stusta-rugby.de
As the name suggests Studentenstadt is based at the university, although you don’t have to be a student to play with them.

Is the Student Bar still full of Russian girlies!? AND maybe if you post the price of beer in the student bar (V cheap) all the cheapskates might make an effort ....
