It seems that Shell and Choren are funding a plant in Freiburg to make a biologically sound fuel from waste wood and straw. This type of fuel is normally made from crops but due to heavy demand the crop prices have soared so maybe making the fuel from waste material is the way forward.
I hope that they can start producing a commercially viable quantity before there stated aim as I would certainly use it.
Less emissions for the vechicles using it, less emissions during processing than oil based diesel processing and making it of something that would normally be thrown away, it can only be a good thing!!
