Am commuting regularly to Munich, generally stay in a Holiday Inn, but am sick of watching BBC World and CNN. Anyone know one that has a full suite of English-language TV?

GoW.

Get out of your hotel room and down to the pub
eurovol
Selling point for Grinner.

Not quite the helpful responses I was after. Take your point about getting to the pub but, again, unless there's someone from work keen sitting in a pub watching German tele and eating sausage is fairly lame.
Kay
Nobody suggested going to any pubs showing German TV, did they?
Small Town Boy
Never stayed anywhere that has more than CNN and BBC World; I'm afraid you might be out of luck. Watching some sport at an Irish pub may indeed be the way forward.
Batson Creek
I have stayed in most of the bigger hotels in Munich and quite a few around Europe. My guess is that they have all agreed to provide the bare minimum otherwise they would be involved in a spiraling war of satelite / cable subscription costs. Someone might want to start a ... ph34r.gif consiracy thread ohmy.gif on the subject.

I would invest in Avid-Pinnacle's new product PCTV. It's amazing - software that lets you watch you home tv programing from your computer. BRILLIANT!

so, a bit like a Sling Box, then?

Like sling box - but soo much better. The video streaming quality is out of this world. Highly recommend it!
