Certifying a photocopy of a passport

How and where to get the copy authenticated

My UK solicitor requests a copy of my passport to confirm that I'm who I say I am. I do look like me that's for sure, but that's not enough, they want it certified by a solicitor.

What do I do ? Notar ? Anwalt ? British Embassy - assuming there still is one in M ? Just walk in to the nearest one and get it rubber stamped ?

Thanks,
bludga
Yeah British consulate did mine for 20 Euro´s or something like that and you can get i think 5 items certified. Like a second passport or a birth certificate for example.

I had a passport application notarised last week at the notary in Elisenhof for €12.

Thanks both.

When I applied for a visa for the soviet union the signature of a priest (and a stamp from the "Pfarrerei") was sufficient, failing that go to the nearest police station seeing as they are "Beamter".
