Do they accept dogs in the place? I just moved down and my pup isn't used to being left alone in our hotel apt. It would be good to know, for future reference.
Owain Glyndwr
dogs shouldn't be taken ino restaurants imho.
Ravski
I cannot confirm if I can make it, I will just turn up and if its too busy then its my loss.
roots
Dont worry, you will always find room on Grinner's lap. Just pay him 10 cents and he will be allright. smile.gif
xargon
Hi all,

It was fun last time but I have this nasty cold and I have to give it a skip this week. next time, fer sure smile.gif

xargon
Owain Glyndwr

I feel like I ate enough for two , I was still full this morning so I skipped breakfast. Mutton Tika was nice, and their cheese nan hit the spot. Does anyone know what the orange/red looking sauce last night was ?
ellewood
do u ever organise weekend curry nights? i never seem to be able to make it in the week but love a good curry
Showem
Owain Glyndwr is planning one for this Friday night! Look here.

Now that we almost agree that Wed at Sitar must be set in stone, does anybody else think we deserve a discount at Sitar?

I mean if Sitar has to stay then we need an incentive for bringing them regular business.

I am more than willing to step forward and do the negotiation using my charm, sex appeal and even pouty lips (only as a last resort though).

I propose either a flat discount (say 10%) or perhaps first beer free for everybody.

Any other proposals?
false
did we even get a mango shot last night ?

A discount or a 'sweetener' as my da calls it would be nice
roots
Nope, no mango shots and even the papad came very late. All the more reason we demand a cut if we should go there every week. I did like my Kadai Chicken though.

This curry book sounds good from the reviews:

I think RH has a good idea. 10% discount would be nice.

No, they didn't bring any mango shots last week.

Hello TT,

I came to Germany two years back to do my Master's here and now that i have graduated, i will be leaving for a big break (3 months) back to India on Thursday.

Though i'm not a regular for many TT events, I've met some wonderful people from TT -- Showem, Topsy and others from Badminton... and they are really great to be with.

I was wondering how to meet others when this Briyani night showed up in curry night.

The number is already touching 27 in the reservations page...

Hope i'll get to meet many TT'ers whom i've only met online before i leave...

I'll be back in Jan end next year to stay in Munich for another three years and hope to have fun with you people...

Meet you there in the special curry night tomorrow.. smile.gif

Cheers,
'Buzz
Topsy
I'll be there for sure smile.gif
Are you meeting up at 8pm already for a swift drinkie or two?
Topsy
electrobuzz
@Topsy

No.
I will come around 9 with some work collegues of mine...

would New Delhi be an option for one of the curry nights in the future? it's only one station further on the U5/U4 from the Sitar.
LeBronJames
you guys been to "Sangeet" yet!?
If not, it's a must biggrin.gif
MommyinDE
What's up for curry tomorrow???
AquaticMeringue
Vindaloo of course! Mmm...
BadDoggie
Roots,

I thought it was great last week considering I ate three full plates of the stuff. I truly ate nothing on Thursday.

I also thought it was vegetarian since you grabbed all three pieces of meat in the first two spoonfuls you took from the bowl.

Is it Sitar again tomorrow night? I might be able to make it. What time?

woof.
false
http://www.toytowngermany.com/xtra/events/currynight/ sign up there . It's the Sitar as far as I know.

So which restaurant are you meeting at for the real real curry? Enquiring minds (and palettes) want to know.

Since you asked I will tell you. I am meeting a few freinds at Ganga at Baaderst. 11, at 8:00. You are more than welcome to join us.

@Aquatic Marangue
Please DO NOT think i am stepping on traditional curry night at Sitar. My meeting with others tomorrow is entirely independant of Sitar. Ofcourse anybody is welcome to join us.

I assume the regular Sitar night is also on tomorrow so you have a choice.
BadDoggie
Thanks, but I'm already busy learning a language from hell. I wouldn't want to force you to speak English, which you would inevitably feel obliged to do with me around. I'll steal more of your lamb next time you're at the TT curry night.

Cheers,
woof.

No problem - as I said before, I don't mind other people organising other curry nights (and judging by the number of people we've been having at some of the recent events, it might actually benefit from being split into two separate things). I only get a bit irritated when people try to make me move or change my own event wink.gif
Topsy
hi Rootsie, will you not be speaking english anyway at your curry night? I guess so, at least a little bit of the time, right?
roots
@Topsy, BadDoggie

Ok, where did you get this idea that we don't speak english? We speak only English cuz there are so many even among us Indians who understand only English. Once in a while a couple of us say something to eachother in Hindi but 99% of the time we speak only english.
Topsy
right, that's what I thought smile.gif
Jeeves
So what's a-cooking? Sitar or what?
AquaticMeringue
Yup, Sitar - looks like it'll be quiet one this week.

Ok, now that it is official that Bush is re-elected some of us are having a forget Bush with curry and beer night at

Ganga
isartor
baadestrasse 11
8 PM

Everybody welcome
JoolyBooly
is it official?
Topsy
the curry night is official, and I'll be there smile.gif
need to drown my sorrows in a tandoori chicken.
Jeeves
I signed up for tonight but I'll be going to the Forget Bush thing instead simply because it starts earlier and I'm hungry now.
JoolyBooly
okey doke, that's a good enough reason! ;o)
will see, going to Kino first at 7.45 so would be late.

If anyone wants to see the Bourne Supremacy at 7.45 at Mathäser, meet me and Arwen at 7.30 by the checkouts on the first floor, or PM me in the next 30 seconds as I'm off to the gym. cool.gif
Jeeves
@Topsy Same here, although the dish might be a different one.
I'm hungry and thirsty, that's another good reason.
JoolyBooly
weird, so this is not the curry night? may go there as it's later, then.. shame, i like ganga!
Topsy
it's the "other" curry night. the one without the official registration page. wink.gif
Jeeves
@JB You can have my official curry, as I swapped from that to this coz I'm hungry...
JoolyBooly
okey dokey, karaoke. Have a bush vindaloo for me, so it shoots out like his verbal diarrhea.. (sp.?) biggrin.gif
Ravski
I am playing fooball which finishes at 8. So I hope to see you all at around 8.30. Save a piece of nan bread for me. tongue.gif

good to have some humour when there is such a deflated negative mood about. (election thread)

This is precisely the reason why man invented beer and indians invented curry. Join us at Ganga on baaderstrasse 11 tonight at 8.00 PM and inflate your mood smile.gif
interplanetjanet
Man, I really (truly) wish I could go to all these curry nights. sad.gif

Why, oh why, did I chose education over money?!?!? huh.gif
roots
@IPJ

What exactly is stopping you?
BobsAfro
A post about somewhere called Ganja by someone who calls himself rootsherbal seems suspicious to me. What are you really trying to say?
Topsy
We had a great evening in Ganga last night. The food was fantastic, I have to say - no wonder Ganga was voted the best Indian in Munich by Prinz magazine.

And I was home by midnight thanks to the nice and early 8pm start smile.gif

Thanks, Roots, for organising!
Jeeves
Aye, the food was very good indeed.
And we didn't dwell on the subject of what it was we were trying to forget for more than about an hour... Cricket is indeed far more important cool.gif
