I am willing to try Taj Mahal. Get it over with so to speak biggrin.gif
roots
@kza

offal of what animal? I don't think you can get any of that in Indian restaurants anyway.
TheDevilHimself
What about New Delhi ( one of the few places which serves south Indian cusine too ) or Sangam ( I went there a few weeks back, and the food was pretty good) !!
Kza
@roots Well from whatever animal, just the standard animals that they make meat out of. Hmm now that I think about it I guess most offal comes from cows doesnt it, which doesnt seem to be used as much (at all?) in indian food. Yeah i have never really noticed it in any resturants, but havent looked much yet. Just wondering if offal is found in Indian cooking at all really. I might have to settle for what I come up with at home.. Like my venison curries smile.gif
roots
@Devil
New Delhi doesn't serve SI cuisine eventhough they have it on menu.
Sangam is an option. Last CN there was in July so I guess we could do it again if others want. It is also in Schwabing.

@Kza
yeah, I don't think you can get it at Indian resturants. You have to do it at home.
MajorBummer
Sangam sounds nice. Never been there!
roots
ok 1 vote TajMahal and 2 votes to Sangam.

Voting ends in the next 10 minutes.
clepto
ohmy.gif it's only tuesday!!!
I would go for Sangam, but my vote is mainly based on location. I haven't been to any of these.
roots
clepto, we normally pick the restaurant by Monday itself. It is already late.

Anyway, with your vote Sangam wins. wink.gif

So Sangam (the confluence) it is.
ski
Sangam sounds good...I'll be there...

Bloody viruses and bacteria at this time of year. Rants on to himself.

roots

roots
Anybody up for Twisted Bavarian afterwards?

I can get the Curry gang first drink for free.
coolerking
i should be but depends on how the curry goes down
MajorBummer
@Tim

So much for the Canadian-South African friendship or what? wink.gif Don't worry, I am sure my half-Canadian friend will keep us some seats. Today, by special request, the BF is having a curry with us. ph34r.gif
roots
Bring some towels MajorBummer cuz we gonna make your BF sweat like anything. He could barely handle the pizza the other night so I am not sure about curry wink.gif
roots

georgiagirl
Can't make it to the dinner as I've got some appointments scheduled for this evening, but might try to pop over to TwiBa later this evening to see if I can catch some peeps there.
Bearlymuc
well guys...thanks for a really good night. was impressed with the food (although it was really TOO TOO hot) and the way they tried to cater to everybodys wishes. Service was good and efficient. Maybe a tad overpriced? All in all 'I' had a good night out biggrin.gif Thanks!!
tom_a
Great food. The best in quite a while.
MajorBummer
A nice, relatively quiet curry night. Or was I the only quiet one? Nice company as usual, lots of fun at the Twisted Bavarian afterwards. Had an excellent Karahi Murgh, spicy but not too hot, tender juicy chicken, onions and more onions! rolleyes.gif Once again met a few TT'ers I haven't met before (InflatableWoman comes to mind) and was glad to establish that TT had so many other pirates, zombies, ninjas and zombie-ninja-pirates besides myself!

MajorBummer
@ER

Yeah mam, I chow chicken. Only chicken. No duck or geese. No red meat, fish very seldomly. That's my bag.
Darkknight
Good food, good company...

Dam, my head hurts...
roots
I have to rate Sangam as one of the best.

It has the best interior among all the Indian restaurants we have visited so far--very cozy and and very inviting.

The owner turned out to be a good friend of mine (he also owns Sangeet) so we got good service and the usual goodies. My grilled lamb was great--very tender and spicy. I tasted a couple of things from others and they were very tasty. Good food, good service, great company as lot of fun. TwiBa afterwards was a good way to end the night/morning.

One of the highlights of the evening:
Mariana told me she hasn't been offered to suck on something by a guy in a long time so I offered her mine. She really really enjoyed it and asked for more. I obliged and she just couldn't seem to get enough of it as she just kept sucking and sucking. I had no idea she liked lemon so much.
coolerking
curry was good and spicy.7 out of 10.will go back there.late night so baby steps for me today

It's CLEPTO papi. Or Maria in the last 3 Curry Nights it seems laugh.gif
I'm glad you mentioned the lemon at the end, if not, people might the wrong idea about me rolleyes.gif

I had a lamb something that was amazing, number 85, that's all I remember.

Great place, food and very fun company.
Had shitloads of fun until 3am at the Twisted Bavarian.
My highlight of the night: I managed to steal a watch wink.gif
TexasTornado
Clepto, you're a dangerous girl, but fun to hang out with.

note to self: wear nothing of value in the presence of our esteemed clepto
clepto
Ah don't worry, you are safe with me wink.gif
Thanks for such a great night yesterday, loved meeting you!!!

you are not so bad at backgammon,i just had luck on my side
clepto
Yeah, right. After destroying me you happened to mention that you used to play for money.
I guess I still owe you a beer.
TexasTornado
Shit! he beat me too. I guess we both owe the coolerking a beer.

and a big fat thank you to Roots for bringing the curry crowd by the Twisted especially InflatableWoman. I thought he, ahem! she had fallen off the face of planet.
clepto
ohmy.gif I thought you gave him a beer, and so then I had to give him one (well, two).
Plus, we never mentioned beer before playing, so I think can bail out of this one biggrin.gif
TexasTornado
I was planning to buy both of you a beer on the 30th at The Arc, but ya gotta wear a costume or the wallet stays in my back pack.
clepto
I might show up without make up then...I look preaty scary ph34r.gif

For those that asked, here are the answers to the question I couldn't fully remember at the time..

The 11 states that made up the "Confederate states" during the US Civil war were:

South Carolina,Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana,Texas,Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina...

As for the events of 1897 try THIS
TexasTornado
What the?

American History and Curry followed by a night of drunken debauchery don't even belong in the same thread. It's about as wrong as two straight men doing the YMCA!
Jeeves
Well I wasn't there but I have to agree with TT. Coolerking playing backgammon I can just about believe. But where did that list of states come from? Did the question really arise at the TB that night? If so then we'll have to toodle to the TB more often after curries. It always seems to turn into a surreal experience.
Darkknight
?'s started at Sangam.. Not TB so if you wern't sitting on my end of the table you wouldn't know about it...
