I personally didn't like my curry, perhaps too sweet for me.
I asked for a Radler and the waitress brought me a Spezi instead. I re-asked and I earned a Helles. Finally the friend of mine got my Radler and we swapped our glasses.
Rus
Was a good night and Zoozies at the end was a nice touch!

Food was good, company was even better. Great turnout as well. Looking forward to next Wednesday massively. Will stay longer next week, too. Thanks for the hugs faithful friend.

Curry was nice. Probably best samosas I've had in town. I like the vegetarian curry best at the Goa, this one was spiced nicely but it was heavy on the potatoes (yes Germany, I know) and a bit stingy with the other good stuff. But like that old saying goes, disappointment is always a possibilty if you don't add a wee bit of road kill to your dish.

Highlights of the evening for me were:
1. Excellent company
2. Had good conversation with Exile that will likely result in a poll
3. Roots renaming himself : roots > curry king > curry raja
4. Carm declaring herself high priestes off "rootism", I suspect there are a few aussies in the house that would like to join this house of rooting. Anyhoo..
5. Learning that Disbury is a little village and the original Jersey is *posh*. I wonder if the US jersey girls know this tidbit. I gather that New Jersey in the US should really be named New Essex.

Downside is that i didnt hop the bath last night and woke up this morning hungry and smelling like curry. Is it cannibalism if you eat yourself? I mean really. Anyhoo, i would've chewed on my finger a bit but I had places to go and people to point at or whatever.

Thanks peeps for the curry and the chatter.

I agree we should go back there again since the food was really good and the service was also fast and friendly, even with our large group.
Great meeting all the new faces as well!

very good curry, excellent service , 9 out of 10.this restuarant is on my list of coming back to.nice company as well

When you get a 9 from CK there is no need for me to say anything else. wink.gif

and when stars like jml showed up, you know it was a very special evening.

As always I ordered something off the menu and it was very much to my liking. Overall, food was great, service was efficient and absolutely no problems with bill or payments. Definitely worth going back. A+

Fantastic company. Trying to remember as many newbies as possible. I thought I went around and met everybody but don't recall meeting Didsbury blink.gif

Nice to end the evening at Zoozies and special cheers to our lovely waitress Tina.

You must have he was sat opposite Carm and Next to Rubber Duck
georgiagirl
@ Exile
Actually I think she would have let us call her anything we wanted, considering how much we tipped.
Rus
She was cool anyway and kept the Margheritas flowing

But I think she faced that aged old problem that women have

"How does one get rid of spunk?"
spunk
There you go again Rus. You just need an excuse dont ya.

@CK: The name is Tina, not Maria
Rus
and her Phone number spunky boy?

So next week can we have curry night early (Say 6:30) somewhere near the Arc so we can watch football afterwards
Unless of course England fail to beat Austria on Sturday then bollocks to them
spunk
The place Deeba, just 5 mins from the Arc, has awesome food.
georgiagirl
Exile, I don't care how many girls you've dated, you ain't lived until you've had your tires rotated by a redheaded woman.

Well, I, errr, kept ducking when you held your digital camera in everyones face roots tongue.gif
But we'll have plenty of opportunities in the future, no doubt.

Hey, at least he was taking a picture of your face. Some of us were not so lucky.
Rus
Where are the GG Navel Shots?
georgiagirl
You will hopefully never see them. I threatened roots with bodily harm if my bellybutton ended up on TT.
jml
Jesus H. Quintano in a buttered down bowling alley. Rus, Im half expecting one of your future posts to be an invite to naked curry wrestling. I so *dont* want to know what the vindaloo surprise is.
arshoo
hey roots dont put them up on TT there are a host of other places that you can put up your piccies and not have to run from GG! wink.gif
Rus
Dont blame me it was Roots with the camera I am but a mere disciple
BTW Naked curry wrestling is not a good idea as the chilis can be uncomfortable on you sensitive parts
roots
all those special shots are for my personal pleasure.

One day they will be promptly displayed in my ashram
Jeeves
What, you mean those navel pics in the Men Only forum aren't really GG's?
AnthonyDoesEurope
Well, was Bploya a wind-up after all?
Manimal
i was a newbie last night - julian. So who was everyone last night? biggrin.gif

i think i remember your real names but now there are all the loggin names too!!
Rus
Where were you sat?
Jeeves
That's the name of the game... Anyway, the login names ARE the real names.
Apart from which I wasn't there.
Topsy
ah! you're that julian guy who's name i forgot about 3 times
didn't realise you were jayray
Rus
Which Guy???
Topsy

Rus

yeah, dont worry i forgot your name but remember you were drunk. We ended up going to some karoake bar till about 4 in the end. i think you made a good choice in leaving earlier. Although i never realised that even if you cant sing, the germans thinki you can as its your language!!!

David hasselhof did it so can i.
biggrin.gif
georgiagirl
jayray, please tell me you're not slagging off our brilliant rendition of "Wonderwall." I would be truly hurt.
Exile
@Rus - Maybe, but I bet you can describe the waitress in some detail.

BTW For the first few event it might be worth just remembering TT names.
Topsy
drunk!? me??
you must be getting me confused with someone else ph34r.gif

You went to a Karaoke bar?
Without me?
georgiagirl
@ Rus
You went home! Should have stuck around for the late-night, karaoke-singing, casino-cruising action.

what i meant was that you could sing, i just sounded like those german guys before us (without the accent) biggrin.gif
Rus
@GG
I wasnt invited!
georgiagirl
No invitation necessary! Thought you wanted to go home is all. Since you weren't there, I had to find another nice English chap who was willing to duet with me. You were the Elton John to my Kiki Dee, and jayray was...the Liam Gallagher to my Noel Gallagher?
Carm
bummed I had to miss Zoozies, but, hey, duty calls, the day was hard enough to endure, thank god I wasn't too sleepy and hung over too! dry.gif
