This is weird. I signed up several times, my name gets displayed, and when I klick on the sign-up page again, it is gone. Maybe Editor Bob is trying to convey me a very subtle message here...

Ah, now it's there. Guess there is some sort of hidden "TT approval committee" that needs a little while to decide if a user is worthy of signing up or not...

But, madame roots and I went to Maharani (queen), the anti-Maharaja (king) for a private dinner. The food was great and we should go there for one of our CNs.
Hope you all had great food tonight.

Welcome to Munich - there is always room for new curry TT's. The only thing you need to do is sign up before closing time each Wednesday. I'm pretty new here myself and only been to the curry evenings twice but it's great fun and a good way to meet other curry lovers. And the conversations are brilliant. Especially towards the end of the evening.

See you there next Wednesday.

I am up for it but I don't think next week is a good idea. It is the first CN after the Wies'n and most will be coming back after missing a few (including myself). Perhaps the week after or even make it as a separate event. I love both Indonesian and Malaysian cuisine so I am all for it. I think making it a separate event is better.

i don't agree roots. Bring on malay curries. I love cape malay curries (but they are from South Africa).

I'd be interested in attending. But yes, definitely make it a separate event, not on a Wednesday, unless roots wants to change his own event.

Work just around the corner so obviously wouldn`t mind not having to take a train to get to a curry night. But would also like to try it out if some of you prefer going there on another occasion. Yummy.

Would also be interested in trying out Champor. But not sure if it is a good idea for the standard curry night. For one thing, the location is probably quite inconvenient for many (including myself), as it is far away from downtown and not even close to U/S-Bahn...
Its not a far walk from Daglifinger Sbahn station- or a longer walk from RichardStrauss Str. Its not super convienent for most- but its walking distance for me!

But you almost need to take a bus to get there.
I don't really care if we do Indian Curry, Sri Lanken, Thai or Malaysian... its all yummy!
Friday
Oct 1 2005, 1:39 pm
Well we could meet up at the Ubahn station and then travel together on the bus to make sure we don't all get lost. (I have faith in my fellow tters that we would not all get lost together)
anyway a long walk before the meal would be a good way of working up an appeitite.

I like change and I like curry from all nationalities as much as the next guy. But, I am against having this on our regular wednesday night curry night. We have hard enough time picking the damn restaurant every week as it is. The last thing we want is "so, is it Indian curry or malaysian curry or Thai curry or whatever curry this week?" in addition to "which restaurant are we going to?".
If jml wants to organize a special Malaysian night I am more than happy to join. But on a wednesday night, my vote says NO.
Thats my honest opinion.

Oct 1 2005, 1:50 pm
@ Roots
put it like that and I can see what you mean, going to a Malaysian place could then be the start of far too much hassle in future weeks.
