So many people are bringing pluses this week. I feel so plusless
QUOTE (georgiagirl @ Aug 31 2005, 3:09 pm)
I don't suppose there is room for two more? Sorry to be so last-minute.
Only room for red headed cheeky girls if escorted by guys from West Sussex

Sorry to disappoint - friend from West Sussex has returned to UK. Isn't it enough just to see me?
Ã? suppose if I escortred you, you would then meet the criteria

Blimey, you are nosy! I'm bringing my grandmother.
I might noit like who you are bringing so may not come!
That is the problem with the + system
The + remains anonymous.
Someone could be turning up with a few Pikeys- Then we'd all be in trouble

Improvement over the Biryani night I guess. Decent food and good service. Lots of newbies last night and it was good to meet em all. Overall, it was a very good evening.
I still don't think I paid but the guy insists I did

oh well.
Yes, definitely better than the Biryani night. Curry was quite nice but not really hot, but since I didn't ask for it hot I can't complain.
The owner was nice and friendly as usual and I'd go back there again.

Ditto Ski's post in all respects.
Didn't get to meet all newbies but there you go.
That chicken naan you told them how to prepare was flippin good Mr Roots.

It could have been stronger, I shall know next time, the company was fab and the beer was pretty devastating, I left when the gays started sucking serious face (ooohhh I hate that...)

Forecast is for the weather to stay good mid-week. Somewhere with a beer garden perhaps?

Swagat has a beergarden I think and last time we went there we had great food. I was gonna propose Swagat for this week but am open for other ideas of course.

Noor Jahan has a big beergarden, from what I remember. Haven't been there in years though, and don't know the food.

the curry crew went there quite recently, it was nice but not spectacular

Never been to Noor Jehan but with a name like that (light of the world), we could hope for a bright and sunny beer garden with good curry .

Sep 5 2005, 2:13 pm
Noor Jehan was a bit mild, nice paneer dishes though. Last time the
curry night went here there was a huge storm (Izabella recommended it, didn't she?) and we all hid under the picnic brollies. The garden is also a wee bit shady if I remember correctly but am sure someone else will have a better idea than me (I was late).

I think the Taj Mahal was the best outside venue for me. But I am happy with The Noor Jahan or the Swagat.
I love Swagat, and I cannot go this week!

Does anyone know the name of the place on Franz-Josef strasse? I rode by it last night and it looked really interesting, I figured I would remember the name, but, of course, I didn't

the
Sitar can accomodate a large group outside. ok its no beergarden, being roadside, but it is
Lehel and dead quiet. Always nice in the evenings there.
So can Saffron on Steinstr by the Hofbraukeller

Looks like we are still undecided.
Not much enthusiasm for Noor Jehan so if I have to pick I would go with Swagat.

Sangam?
Franz-Josef-Str. 28
I have eaten there twice...once with a
curry night (which we sat outside and it was pretty nice and entertaining) and once inside with a smaller group. I liked the food and service.

Sep 6 2005, 8:27 am
Swagat's good but in my mind I have this picture of a small area outside/upstairs that would no way be big enough. Perhaps someone would like to correct me on that? Otherwise I'm happy with going there or Taj Mahal or anywhere geographically in between. Really short on time this week so I'll leave the decision process up to you

Well, last night Oli and I ended up going to
Sitar for a late night curry after mid-night

Right now can't even stand the thought of curry.
I think we should finalize Swagat for this week.

curry night anyway. Looking forward to it.

Oh yes!!!
this is the place we went to for the Xmas Eve Night and me and Inflatablewoman cleared the place by talking loudly about the First World War Armistice and the Versailles Treaty.
The thing about this place is that the keema nans are easily the best that I have ever eaten in Munich. In fact it might well be a three keema nan evening on Wednesday.

Yeah, but if remember the Christmas Eve do Andrew, I also remember them just dropping the bill on the table, walking away and expecting us to figure it out. I don't have a problem with the food there, but the service isn't great, in my opinion. Still, I will go wherever the food and the company are.

A shame about Noor Jahan. It's also easy to reach. Would have liked that. Went there two weeks ago and enjoyed the food quite a bit. Don't know Swagat but am always keen on trying out something new.
