Ideas for this week.

We were walking past Maharani last friday and it seemed like a nice place. Anybody been there before?

is it in GBV?

no it is not. It is near baldplatz and I don't think it is GBV.

is the plan to have CN in GBV this week?

Maharani is very small and I doubt it will fit 30 peeps. Also, the food is very good when it is not crowded. When there are a lot of folks, the quality of food goes down exponentially.

I would recommend it on a weekday when you are just a couple of folks. I do not think it is suitable for a curry night though.

I am not sure if I wanna go for drinks afterwards though. Last Wednesday I had to go home with the Austrian girl at 4 am to sober up before I went home.

Tandoori
Samrat
Ganga (not sure but it very close to Gartnerplatz)

I am thrilled about Samrat.

We could give Tandoori another shot.

GBV is a foregone thingy this week. Since I only know Samrat and Tandoori I guess it's time for some suggestions from the locals.

There is another Indian restaurant just off Oberanger- we used it once for the Canadian Club, darn, on Roßmarkt, but I cannot seem to find a listing for it now- typical!

I also think we could give the Tandoori another go since it's been ages since we were last there.

Seems like the obvious thing to do dunnit.

I was just thinking of everybody else's tired little legs

There are two Maharani, the one in Rottmannstrasse (Schwabing area) and a second one at Baldeplatz 1 and that’s in GBV. I was at the one at the Baldeplatz some weeks ago, restaurant has a decent size, definitely big enough for a curry night and my Thali was pretty good.

But Ganga sounds tempting too, didn´t try it out so far but it is recommended to my by a friend.

Will see which place it will be and maybe I´m. Probably it is good idea to have some dinner before start drinking at the GNO.

Is it any more of a trek than one of Ski's famous post curry hikes?

ahhh what the heck...I know I said I would never go to Tandoori again but its better then no curry at all, so ill give it another chance

I'll set the restaurant to Tandoori. If by 4 p.m. tomorrow nobody has signed up then we'll know to look for somewhere else...

well I am not going to the Tandoori, as I don't think they should have our custom after taking the piss so flagrantly at the Biranyi night, and the keema nans there are distinctly mediocre.

What good is a butler without a camera?

It is merely the pressure to post the bloody pictures within seconds of leaving the curry house, when I know damn well that I won't have a chance for about 5 days

Andrew I know what you mean and to be honest I'd forgotten the extent to which they'd extracted the Michael last time we were there. However the time before was pretty damn good. I'm willing to believe that they just don't "do" Biryani

It is comfortable inside and lovely outside. Well, we spend most of the time standing outside anyway so I guess we could have the best of both.

We could always decide after we get there so no worries.
