Hey Meister !
I have two lonely chilis left. Thanks again. You can make cracking omelettes with them but I was a little piggy and ate most of the jar as finger food. You don't want to rub your eyes afterwards though, or anything else for that matter.

I've had about 10 jars since I gave you that one!

I bought another two today! Damn addictive and yeah, I eat them as finger food too... nice with black olives (still stoned) as well! And yes, don't rub your eyes!!!

A very enjoyable curry night with good company. My hot Chicken Jalfrazi was nice and spicey. Also as I already had 3 beers and was busy talking, I didn't realise that it was lamb flavoured until they came out with the correct dish Doh! So one and half curries for the price of one.
Only one problem
Lehel is not the place for those who think 1am is an early
curry night

Xargon and Exile, you early birds are here already as well I see!

Very nice meeting you guys (and girls!), I am definitely coming again. Wish I could have stayed longer, maybe next time? Food was very good, lovely chicken soup and the curry with eggplant was quite edible as well. For someone like me cursed with a chili-allergy (why is everything I'm writting today rhyming?) it was spiced just right. You chili-fans out there might prefer to order the eggplant curry a bit spicier.
@Roots
Very nice meeting you, Charlie! Thanks once again for the invitation and see you next time at curry night!

One of the nicest curry nights we had I must say. It was good to be back at
Sitar after a long time. Looks like they finally learnt how to cook lamb cuz my lamb fillet was just fandelitabulous. I also had off the menu chicken naan and it was delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking to oldies and newbies.
MajorBummer, it was great meeting you and glad you finally made it and had a good time. I hope to see you again in future events.
There was about 51 Euros of unpaid stuff at the end. I took care of most of it and Ashwini the owner ignored the rest. I request everybody to please be careful and pay what they order next time.

Nobody needs to give money to anybody. It has all been taken care of.

Did we have to pay for the papadam in the beginning? Last time I was at
Sitar it came for free when you sit down..
That really is a major bummer! 53 Euros! The best solution would be for everyone to keep a list next to them of what they had. I suppose the 53 Euros were mostly made up of drinks?
@Bubblylady
It was my pleasure meeting you!

P.S.: What I told you last night about your name? Read

No, everybody should be paying what they had. It's easy to forget something but we want to enjoy the
curry night for few times more so money shouldn't spoil the pleasure. It will be a very expensive curry if u have to pay us out everytime

Not dumb...just overdiscussed. Curry is one of the most controversial topics on the board...particulary the day and time of the event (for real good times...read back in the archives). But you could certainly plan an event on a Thursday and surely people would come. Post the date time and restaurant and you will get responses. There are loads of curry lovers out there...and some cannot make the Weds.

Well I thought it was a great night, but I think we should continue to change the venues around. The keema nans were okay. Great to see Majorbummer, my number one fan (as a poet).
Good also to see Carm, however briefly.
All the best to Petal, I hope you have a great time in Italy, and you can post here still. Friday is all booked out already, but if you a re going somewhere afterward then I would be glad to come along.

I have not got anything in the pipeline just yet, but I did start work on a poem entitled "Inappropriate objects of my masturbational phantasies", but try as I might the words just would not come, and you can not force poetry, it has to come from the heart.

I think last night somebody suggested we should shift seats every few minutes like they do in speed dating.
Although it would be a bit awkward once you got your food, possibly too much risk from spills as people changed seats while balancing a curry in one hand and a drink in the other.
Topsy
Aug 11 2005, 2:21 pm
you could always rotate the curries as well, i suppose - you move seats, but the curry stays put
that way you get to vary the company and the food
What about a progressive curry where you split in to teams and select maybe three different restaurants and the teams move from one to another having appetiser, main and desert thus meeting different people in each restaurant and then all meeting in a pub at the end
