Ok, after a bit of searching, i've decided that even I should be able to find this place... U6 Giselstraße.
What time are people arriving?

I'll probably show up sometime around 7:00 in a very wrinkled shirt (this one defies all attempts at ironing).

I am not going to be able to make the booking, in fact I'm not even sure I can come. Could somebody else post to volunteer to make the reservation.
I can make the reservation again tonight.

Excellent, I think i'll turn up around 1900 if people want a pre-curry drink?

It has been too long since me last curry

Well my Lamb Karahi was nice, good spicing, ordered medium hot and got medium hot (but wasn't quite as nice as the same dish served at Taj Mahal on Monday night).
Grinner's Chili Chicken did not contain chili. The hot sauce they gave him to spice it up, however, did in spadeloads.
Nice to have finally met you codemonkey!
And yes I did manage to ride my bike home in the dark safely, took 20 minutes, no injuries except to the vocabularly of an Oriental youth wandering around in the dark on a cycle path in front of Haus International,
Schwabing...

Popped in unexpectedly and was quite impressed with my meal. I am no curry connoisseur but I tried some of Tom's vindaloo and burnt my throat out (well only for about 10 minutes). Was nice to sit outside...that was my first outdoor curry hehe.
Congrats to Katrina for a ride well done. And kudos for not running over anyone (including stick-bearing dogs

)
As we left the dog was trying to convince the last remaining couple outside to 'throw the sticks...'
Friday
Jul 14 2005, 10:34 am
that poor dog noone but me and Ski from our table threw the stick for him, very bad kharma. I thought the curry was just right, the keema nans were good and it was nice to see some of the curry regulars again after a bit of an absence.

Not entirely true. Tom did...Tomthrew the sticks. But I will take my bad karma as it comes...

I threw the stick too (but only once).
I'd have to say that my Tandoori Chicken Masala was not the best ever. The sauce was orange but that was about as far as it went for Tandoori.

have to agree with the Tandoori Chicken Masala . lacked the spices .

Andrew actually got more worn out than the dog, and gave up first.
In fairness the same would have happened to me and i didn't want to be 'out-fitnessed' by a dog!
Biryani as good as they ever are... have i ever complained?

I thought my curry was reasonble but could have done with a few more spices.
One thing I thought was very good was the speed they brought the food, since other restaurants we've been to have taken a lot longer with large groups.

Enjoyed the curry too...especially sitting outside and watching people go by

Still think that dog was slightly mental

My thali was okay...not really flavourful but I had worse...

Outrage!!!
I stopped throwing the stick for the dog, because it took the stick to someone else.
Bloody ingratitude!!!

anybody fancy
Radha?

Okay I'll set the restaurant to Radha. It can always be changed if a majority comes out in favour of somewhere else.

I'll come along this week, not been on a
curry night for long time.
Katrina
Jul 19 2005, 8:54 am
Think I'll come - well, it is in
Neuhausen innit.
As for Dragondale, it is funny but I'll go to a
curry night in Landsberg but not there, well that's still the right side of the river
Jeeves
Jul 19 2005, 8:56 am
That's obvious Katrina. You don't need a visa for Landsberg.
And as I mentioned in my case, it takes me longer to get home from Dragondale than it did from Landsberg. The only disadvantage was that I got home from Landsberg sober...

See y'all there!

Jul 20 2005, 1:21 pm
right, well i phoned and booked a table for 25 to be going on with
i'll adjust numbers later on if need be
with this many peeps there's no room outside, but it looks like it's clouding over a bit anyway
anybody fancy getting there a little bit earlier than 7.30?

Jul 20 2005, 1:53 pm
Me and Lacha are popping for a swift half in the Muddy Boot before hand ... if interested?
Topsy
Jul 20 2005, 1:56 pm
i'd rather claim a seat at the restaurant first, really...
or is everyone going to the Muddy Boot (well, actually, we probably wouldn't all fit in the muddy boot...

)

No idea where the Muddy Boot is, but the restaurant is right near my office, so I'll be there around 7.

Jul 20 2005, 2:06 pm
If dry I'll cycle so *be warned*. I finish my aerobics classes at 6:30pm so after getting changed and stuff, can be there about 7ish.
Am looking forward to this one

Jul 20 2005, 2:13 pm
I'll be there by 7 at the very latest.

Service with a smile at Radha last night.
And just for Kebab Meister a review of number 057 (chicken vindaloo):
Pretty mild. I think they waved a couple of chillies at it but that was about it as far as "hotness" was concerned. And huge amounts of potato done just right and cut to exactly the right size.
Ginger naan wasn't bad either, thanks to Katrina for the tip.
By the way the bit about the potato was a complete lie. There hadn't even been any waving done in that department. Absolutely no aloo. So I fear the food gets a bit of a thumbs down from me.
Katrina
Jul 21 2005, 8:47 am
Extremely nice and very pretty waitress, mine tasted nice but wasn't the required medium. The hot sauce brought out did the job though.
The garlic naans were not as good as I've had in there previously.
So a mixed bag for me really.
Lovely to see all and Jeeves I had noticed on the menu that vindaloo had potato in every variety except the chicken one. Hmmmm
Jeeves
Jul 21 2005, 8:51 am
I didn't read the small print. I couldn't read the small print...
But I don't expect to have to do so because a vindaloo by definition contains potato.
Totally agree with your opinion of the waitress...
Thought the food was quite nice and better than last weeks, although it wasn't hot at all. Still don't think they should have charged for popaddoms considering how much money we were all paying.
They get plus points for the nice waitress but negative points for no stick throwing dogs.
