are there any other curry places with a nice beer garden?
seen plenty of places where you can sit out on the street, but don't know anywhere else with a beer garden

QUOTE (Izabella @ Jun 23 2005, 8:18 am)
a horse's neck is a distinctly wasserman's delight... i don't believe i've ever had a cocktail quite like it. medicinal.
p.s. "i get flashbacks in the produce section" is THE quote of the night

Hehe, I might have to try one of those, medicinal of course!

And these flashbacks... you still getting them?

Jun 23 2005, 5:01 pm
Service in Wassermann's was unusually ordinary. It took them about half an hour to liberate DW's Cuba which just ain't on. But then cocktails were just a happy add-on to the evening, which ended about 4 hours later than I'd intended
Taj Mahal was fine. Food was okay, service was okay, no more but certainly no less. Sitting outside was just perfect last night.

well, if the service in wassermann hadn't been so rubbish we wouldn't have got the free shots... so i suppose some good came of it (easy for me to say, since i'd already got my drinkie)

Oh yes the strawberry limes, I forgot that. Now I remember where my headache came from this morning.
So did anybody actually test a chicken naan for Roots?

Another good
curry night and "english hot" was just right for me. Another chance to sit outside would be good if the weather stays like this.
@Jeeves - Mission failed - I don't think anybody had the chicken naan.

I would give it about 7/10 for hotness... which is pretty mild for me but after last week there was no way I was going to complain!!!

Another vindaloo without potatoes, but it was still pretty tasty.

My Keema Nan had a bit too strong of a ginger taste for my liking. But still a good
curry night.
BTW is a chicken naan the same as a Pershawri (sp?) naan?

No
A peshwari naan has dried fruit (e.g. raisins, sultanas) and nuts (maybe almonds) in it. Tastes a wee bit sweet to me.

Actually, the peshwari naans at Taj Mahal have chicken in them. I know because I have to keep asking for 'no chicken'...just the sweet stuff every time I go there...so you did taste chicken after all Topsy!

I remember hearing the waiter asking someone if they wanted chicken in their naan, maybe it was the peshwari naan.

Noor Jahan is good and the outdoors area is lovely. I third the proposal
p.s. Noor Jahan does reasonable onion bhajis on request. But on Saturday night I was in the Maharani. Definetly the best Indian in Munich

why can't peeps ask for it extra hot individually if they want?

Hoping to be back in a couple of weeks.

Step-sis' plane lands on Thursday so I get another curry. It's like a stay of execution.
(Note: I don't use smileys, so those of you who don't know me well- without some sort of simple electronic emotional pictograph- may come to the conclusion that I don't like seeing family members. This is not the case. I love them dearly and am always happy to see them. So just assume that there was some sort of winky smile picture to indicate that a literal interpretation of my words would not have conveyed my full and sincere meaning. But I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the curry

for those of you that weren't sure about the food quality... i went there last night with some peeps who had [unbeknownst to me] picked this spot to try. it was probably the best indian food i've had in munich, period. the 'beer-garten' atmosphere was really nice as well and the waitstaff was super accomodating. looking forward to a re-run today.

Expect me to show up early, sweaty and complaining about the heat. I just wasn't bred for weather like this.
