Curry night - every Wednesday evening in Munich

Those of us who stayed until the end had some good fun. Lot of free booze and silly talk

Wish I had stayed til the bitter end now... Free booze!! Unless it was that awful mango schnapps - throat burning stuff. Was expecting something yellow.

I would be up for another Biryani night sometime.

I was given 2 larger glasses of whiskey and it was indeed good stuff. From the taste/colour I'd guess it was Chivas Regal.

Just flicking thru this thread quickly and I cannot see the usual:

That's because it didn't happen

This was the most flexible taking or order / delivery of food to table / bringing of drinks / paying of bill restaurant. It worked very well. No complaints were heard.

Yeah, great night, though I'd almost venture to say that the waiter was too good at bringing the beers quickly.

Once again, it was really nice to meet so many new people! Thanks, Jeeves, for the Aussie goodies!

As for not having anyone unpay at the end... Ram is really pleased with the slips we use so he takes that as gospel. Definitely the best place for a large group.

Next week, we had discussed going back to the Sitar again (before the last two curry nights) so I agree that we should head back there for one since it's been a long time for the regular curry night people.

I had a lot of fun last night... everyone was great company as usual!

Oh, @UpQuark, thank you again for the pressie! Someone broke the lid off so had to be extra careful not to squirt it anywhere on the way home (after Inflatablewoman reminded me the lid was missing! - haven't tried it yet btw)

I know this is the curry thread, but I don't think there is a sunday brunch thread (?) Anyone fancy a sunday brunch next week?

@ Treehugger: brunches: sure, any time. Just make a new thread in events! It is the season for long, outdoor brunches, after all we had a few in the past, very popular

last night was great, really friendly staff and they coped brilliantly with all the people. Ok my curry wasn't the best I've had, they'd obviously cooked the lamb in a hurry so it was a bit tough, but the ingredients were fresh, the naan was superb and I was a happy bunny.

I agree about Sitar next week, was just thinking about that before I logged on!

A fun night, I am definitely planning to attend the next one. I managed to get a free whiskey but it looks like I left early. Still need to get used to public transport that doesn't stop at 10:30pm

There was a jazz brunch at CAST in leopoldstr. but i don't know if it is still on next week. Can't this week cos I have a visiter from Australia, who I am taking to the wine tasting tonight btw Would love to go to brunch next week, tho. Will find a good place if the jazz brunch is off . Love those all you can eat things! Won't be online much til sunday - have a good one

Hi Susannah, the normal meet-up time for dinner is 7:30 PM but lately people have been gathering as early as 5:30 for drinks (thanks to jml for starting this trend and screwin up everything ) and I have a feeling this is gonna happen a lot more in the future. I am not complaining cuz an extra helles or two never hurt nobody
