That was the hottest curry I've ever had! I changed my name last night to Whinegirl! My face was flushed. I went through 3 tissues and did have to have a side of the yoghurt. Not just hot though the food was good too.

@ Grinner - "Ring sting" is baaaaaad... ouch!

@ Winegirl - it was amusing watching your reactions... I don't know if mine were as entertaining!

Oh yeah, your's were just as funny. Your face turned solid red on the first couple bites. I hadn't even tasted mine yet cause I was waiting for my nan... I knew it must be good though from your reaction.

Man, that curry was HOT to say the least, it looked like a redindian round table there, everyone and i mean everyone was flushed, eyes watering, faces red and oooh and aaah it was fun fun

I was so pleased I got rid of the hiccups quick though... that nan bread though... it was so hot as well!

That was the hottest curry I can remember ever having eaten. It was "only" a jalfrezi but after two mouthfuls I was already sweating and my mouth was burning. Pointlessly hot really, because it didn't taste of anything but hotness which is why I did agree when the waiter suggested he take it back to cool it down a bit. Not that that made any difference...

Credit to Andrew for finishing his madras without even asking them to make it just a little bit cooler. Mango lassis rule.

I'm not sure if they were having a laugh on us in the kitchen or not but either way it really doesn't matter. It was FUN And it cleared out the sinuses a treat.

Andrew ordered Madras but actually got vindaloo due to a screw up in the kitchen, so even more credit to him.

Actually, no. No afterburn. Bit disappointing really. Think my rocket has gone numb.

It was pretty severe. The bastard spiced my peshwari naan, I couldn't understand why eating the naan hurt when it was supposed to cool things down.

I wasn'tsure where to put my ice pack this morning. Theoretically its for my knee, but rim sting is no joke.

Well I guess it didn't dissapoint, and they did do proper onion bhajees on demand.

That was quite an evening and quite a curry, to all those that did not go, you were not there on St Curryian´s day, ENGLAND AND ST GEORGE!!!

I'm off out for another curry tonight at the Sahib (work colleague leaving party). I've been there once before and it was okay so will see how it compares to the more recent curry houses.

Just hope I don't have a relapse (that's relapse Grinner, not prolapse!!! )

Proper onion bhajees indeed. I must remember in future simply to ask for them rather than worrying what is and what is not on the menu.

Just back from the Sahib. Actually it was a very good curry. Pretty hot and tasty! My colleagues bet me some money to down the entire mustardy coloured dip (for popadoms). I did it and ended up pocketing about €30! Paid for the night out!

Anything happening on the curry front tomorrow?

Has anyone ever tried that place just round the corner from Cafe Wienerplatz? Not sure of the address but it is about 15 meters down the road that meets the Innerer Wiener Strasse at Wienerplatz. Steinstrasse?
