No but it's time for suggestions to start coming in.
Otherwise DW suggested we try Shiva, so maybe we could give that a shot.

I've never been there either so let's use
Shiva as a working hypothesis. Suggest we stick to 7:30 though as that is the time that is convenient for most people. It's not as if we'd be out of there before 10:30 anyway.

Alala: just follow the link some mod kindly added to my post

None of us (at least no-one that owns up to it apart from DW) has been there before. That's why we're going...
I have no problem with a shift to 20:00 this week. And as we usually don't get round to ordering (food) for about an hour anyway that should give Poots time to turn up AND have fun.

What time are we meeting, it seems like its kind of settled on 20:00??? And I'd be on for allowing Ravski to buy us all beer.

I was the one that recommended Shiva (still my favorite Indian in Munich after having tried many). Make sure to get the Palaw rice with ginger, etc. in it. F-ing good.

Sounds good on its own *starves himself for the rest of the day*
If someone gets round to reserving a table this evening just post here that they have done so. Otherwise I'll do so when I get out of my meeting.

Veggie dish and one beer and you might just get away with €10.
King prawn vindaloo, keema nan and three beers and you're over twice that.

Mar 16 2005, 5:44 pm

I'll wait an decide later. I still don't know if i want to go out of the house unless I really need to at the moment as the stupid woman at the barbers gave me the worst haircut of my life this moning!...a blind man could have done a better job!!

If my kitchen doesn't clear out it's noxious chemical fumes in the next 30 minutes, I might be joining you.
Who needs a stupid clean oven if the residue then nearly knocks you out when you open it to cook something in it? Least the grunge wasn't poisonous.
Jeeves
Mar 17 2005, 9:42 am
Showem, did you survive?
Well DW's suggestion was a hit as far as I'm concerned. Really good food. The hottest jalfarezi I've had in Munich (not that heat is the only criterion) and it tasted pretty damn good too. Not the largest portions I've seen but by no means the smallest either. Plenty of substance but maybe a tad low on the sauce content.
Service? Well it took them ages to take our orders (about an hour and a quarter) but that could be put down to the fact that the one waiter was letting us have a chat and a few drinks first, and that nobody actually asked if we could order... The food all came together and everybody got what they ordered (as far as I am aware). The waiter was friendly enough, if a little busy. I'll go again.

Food was excellent. We'll definitely have to make it back there. I think it may tie New Dehli for best in my heart based only on food. But the owner at New Dehli is so friendly that makes it even better.

i agree with you people the food was good, luved that salad winegirl! probably will set foot there again sometime too. but the portions were a bit small and that waiter told me that since people find it spicy they guzzle lots of beer and dont eat that much!

dunno whether he made that up or was it some keen business acumen on display.

To be honest that was pretty accurate in my case last night...

Mar 17 2005, 2:12 pm
Well I thought it was very enjoyable there, yes the portions were a bit on the small side, but you can always order a nan to bulk it out a bit. We should definitely go there again sometime
