Curry night - every Wednesday evening in Munich

Hey Ravski,

I'm sorry to say that I've tried Dave's Insanity Sauce many years back, and needless to say, I've never quite been the same since.

The stuff is POTENT!!!

My friend was cooking with it one time and I said I'd like a try. From the bottle, he put a single drop on my tongue, and I was incapacitated for hours. Felt like my tongue was literally on fire, and nothing would ease the torture.

I'm gonna try and make Curry Night, but count me out of the contest please.

After reading the following description of this sauce on sweatnspice.com, I thought this might be an experience for a lifetime, so I just signed up:

"The Original Hottest Sauce in the Universe! The only sauce to be banned from the National Fiery Foods Show. A great cookin ingredient for sauces, soups and stews. I'm going to represent Germany - I always liked spicy food, but I guess my definition of "spicy" is not exactly the same as for anybody from Asia.

And I'm just wondering should we combine this with a speed-drinking competition - we might easily get some new records in downing 0.5 liters of Helles

I think Ravski was thinking of introducing a penalty for drinking during the event...

A beer will only make it worse, you have to drink milk or joghurt to cool down a curry or other fiery stuff.

Might be there but I've got something else on, if I am I'll represent Ireland. There is enough snow for sitting in outside anyway.

@Yeti: I will speak to the owners to have some milk ready.

Seriously, keep some yogurt and sugar handy. If the heat on tongue is unbearable, some yogurt and sugar (together) will really help. Don't swallow, just let it sit on tongue for a while.

OK, we are missing the people's comments of the people that really complain it not being spicy enough.

@roots:capsicon makes the chilli hot and you need fat(milk) to neutralise it. Sugar does not do that.

The Welsh representative seems to have got lost in Paris whilst celebrating a long overdue win.

On the subject of toilets: perhaps we should have the tables nearest to said installations?

If this stuff is as bad as it is supposed to be maybe sitting on some cold porcelain beforehand is the correct tactic.

Butter nan, white bread, and lassi should be laid on as emergancy andidotes.

And don't forget to put a roll of toiler paper in the fridge for the morning after.

Hi All, managed to acquire a 3 Litre bottle of StrongBow for the winner.

@Well, I was thinking of two tickets to the Bahamas...

Even I'd have a go at eating that carnage for a trip to the Bahamas (even though the reflection of the sun off my Persil-white hide would blind the locals. Now if only my washing could get that kind of bluey white freshness. Ah well).

The winner is going to need a fire extinguisher loaded with joghurt and some friendly shaped icecubes. Or he or she will have gone supernova by round three and Ravski will get to quaff the Strongbow himself.

So what is this Chilli stuff, like Real Chilli peppers or some kinda of wicked chilli sauce? Will the contestants have to eat it "Straight up" out of the jar, mixed,or on bread/etc?

I think the idea is to have the cook make up "real" dishes with it. Ravski will correct me.

It would be great to see if I can get several nationalities.

Here how it goes, it starts after our normal meal. After that a sample of each curry without drinking anything will take place.

First round: - Spicy Hot TTer Special
Round Two - Super Hot TTers Special
Round three - Leathal TT Special

If you have other names for each curry let me know.
