no-one will argue with you about Kashmir. It is probably the worst restaurant of any type in Munich.

Had a fabulous curry last night (first night in London). I had veggie madras. THe nan was better than anything I've had in Munich. Just the right spice to my dish. Great start.
Which one did you go to? District? Which part of London are you staying?

I had a curry after the England Wales Game with a few TTers. It was a Pakistani place not far from
The Arc. Cannot remeber what it was called but I thought that the food was OK. There was about 10 of us.
Can we go there at some stage.
Has anyone else been more regularly.

Deeba is the name, I think Pootle commented on it soon after.
It's nice, the service is friendly, even when half the group was cross-eyed drunk and one dressed up like a Sumo wrestler and all of us arriving late without a reservation. Food is pretty good too, if you ask me.

Yes we not only arrived late we also left much later (obviously) and also much drunker (equally obviously). The other guests were long gone by then. And STILL they were friendly

Guys, there is also a place called Himalaya. I have only tried this place once but I know that the Indian contingency from my company even order their lunch from there. Anyone tried it. Its next door to a brazilan bar.
Its next to Munchen Friehiet S bahn. Pretty Central.
I know I am suggesting several new places but I wanted a slight change from New Delhi and Sitar which are both very good.

The rest is up to you all.

Feb 17 2005, 6:06 pm
Himalaya sounds good for next week, then Deeba deeba dooo the week after.
Howzat?
edit: been to Deeba on a number of occasions. top service, good food (not the best but is certainly "up there") and they do know how to make a hot curry, you just have to really push them to do it, cos the ydon't believe you when you say really hot.

just went to the same place again last night. I wanted to try a new place but it was rather late and this place is about a 5 min walk from where I'm staying. Forgot to notice what the name of the place was but I'm staying right by the underground station Rotherhithe.
Last night had the Chicken Vindaloo. THe first time I've actually ordered an indian dish with meat! It was really great, almost too hot for me, burned the mouth of all my friends eating with me.

I've been once to the Himalaya, and had the second blandest curry ever. Blandest of course came from the despicable and now deceased Namaskar.

I spoke to the indians at the company and they always tell the Owner to make the food more authentic than usual.
I went one time and I also thought the food was okISH. But it could have been better.
I will speak to the owner and highlight peoples comments to ensure that this does not happen. I hope this helps.
Let me know if this is a potential resturant you all want to try.

I dont mind either way.

So where are you guys heading this week?
BTW the name of the place I went is Mogul, but it's a pretty small out of the way place. We're going next week to some famous street with tons of indian restaurants. I can't remember the name of the area, but our friends tell us all the places have guys standing out in front trying to entice the people into their joint.
Can I request Neu Dehli for the first Wed. in March? I know it's a bit in advance but it's the first Wed (March 2nd, I think). I'm back.

I have managed to acquire the second most hottest spice in the world from Mexico and I hope we would like to see who is the real Curry king of Toytown.

We can try this dish after eating our normal meal.
I heard that the UK are the best curry eaters. Is there anyone to prove them wrong.Health Warning that Came with the Spice:

Just like the ones you put on pizza, except the flakes are made of habanero peppers, and they're laced with pepper extract. The heat of the World's Hottest Chile combined with a super hot pepper extract make an unbelievably hot but tasty spice. Be careful with the The Hottest Spice in the Universe

This stuff is pure E.V.I.L.! This isn't the kind of crushed red pepper you dump all over your pizza, use caution. This stuff is a must have for anyone who enjoys a good ass kick'n.

I'm game for anything spicy... I've been rather disappointed with the so called 'spicy' dishes at the Thai and Indian joints in Munich. Even when I ask them to make it extra-hot, its always so mild.
