Ok, well mizbunce and I will be meeting in front of the place 7ish. If there's a pub nearby, we'll probably drop in for a pint, and if not we'll just hit the curry house.

Well, I will pop along for a quick beer before hand, as have to pick something up from Grinner, although will not stay for the curry !

do what i am doing. Cycle there (burns maybe 150 calories), eat a stonking curry and drink loads of beer (adds maybe 2.500 calories more than a normal evening snack) and cycle home (another 150 calories burnt). Conscience clear.

Anybody know if there's a pub nearby?

There are a few further along the street, including Rechts der

Nice food last night, nice whiskeys too. Somehow I couldn't believe it was 1am when we all left. Good party !

Jan 20 2005, 9:24 am
Yup. It was really nice to meet all the new peeps.
Some of us went to
Ostbahnhof afterwards to make it an all-nighter but it didn't work out cuz the place we wanted to go to was closed.
Good fun overall.

Good to see the late folks up so early (didn't we all claim we could sleep in?).
Great spot... service, food, when something wasn't right they bent over backwards to correct it... made me want to become a regular... whenever it's CN@ND I'm in.

That place rules! I don't think I've ever had such wonderful waiters even in the States. We definitely need to plan an event when the new restaurant opens.
I'm still in my pajamas. I'll start thinking about the lightbulb soon.

Yeah, great food (actually had something different for a change) and very nice to meet everyone who I hadn't met before!
I thought that mouse outside might have made an appearance for old times sake... eh Grinner? :-)

That was the best curry I've had in Münich so far! The keema nan was a little disappointing but nothing to complain about.
The chicken vindaloo was ordered as 'mega-scharf' (which Graham insisted on!) and although it didn't make me sweat it was very nice and hot. I don't know what they put in it to make it hotter but my bum felt like it was on fire last night/this morning!!

How far is the Rama from the
S-Bahn station. I'm on crutches.
Owain Glyndwr
Jan 24 2005, 2:34 pm
apparently right next to it.
what happened to you? Operation on your knee?
interplanetjanet
Jan 24 2005, 2:50 pm
Rama's right across the street from the
S-Bahn - definitely crutching distance. If you look right across the street from where the buses park, you'll see a bank and a take-out pizza joint. Rama is set in just to the left of and behind that building.

Jan 24 2005, 2:53 pm
Well I guess I'll go and regsiter then. Thanks Owain, and Janet. Always wanted to try the Ismaining Rama cos I've heard great things about it. And nothing like a curry to blow away the vegi haggis and whiskey cobwebs from Tuesday night.

What I had last night was awesome and spicy. Your looking at 70-80 meters tops from train to table. I would love to join ya, but I think the wife would shoot me if I went out for Indian food twice without her-especially since they also have Italian on the menu.

Ravski, curry is the cure for your flu. I am not kidding. Last time I had flu I went to Sitar and had really hot curry and lamb sheekh kabab. Next day I was almost normal. I would give it a try.

I also won't be able to make tonight since I've got a work party, however there's all the free beer and food I want so I guess that will make up for missing a great curry.
Have a nice time tonight!

I am thinking of organizing a Biryani night at New Delhi next week. I talked to them last week. Is that Ok with you guys?
Owain Glyndwr
Jan 26 2005, 10:27 am
Well, there was talk. But not because we don't want to go to
Neuhausen. Simply because Roots requested to organise another Biryani night and his prefered location was Neu Delhi and he will not be here for a few weeks after, so it had to be next week. I am not sure if any fruition came from these plans. Maybe Roots could give us an update?
edit: ah he beat me to it!

I'm not bothered, just thought it would be better to announce it before the folks in the Wild West of Munich got all excited about having an official TT event in their part of town.
Is it definite, then? I've never actually been to New Delhi, so I personally don't mind going there...

Meanwhile tonight I'll be searching for another Austrian curry house...

well, it WAS planned to go to

@ jeeves - we had actually planned (quite a while ago) to have it in
Neuhausen that night. I guess people must be scared of us, cos it seemed like they were putting off telling us or something

I am dead scary, me - hehehe

@ OG - I thought it was decided - we said ages ago to go to that Maharaja place on Blutenburgstr. Nothing was booked, though.
