You're invited to the special event:
“English Readings: British Authors at the KulturKaufhaus

next Thursday, March 8,
at Dussmann das KulturKaufhaus,
"KulturbĂĽhne am Wasserfall"

Free entrance!

Meet famous authors from the current British literature scene, who will present readings in English of their new novels. After the lectures, about 8:30 pm, we invite you to “beer and Brit-pop music while mingling with culturally interested people.

16:30 / Peter James: Looking Good Dead
The author and film producer is known for his transcendental stories. He also has a weakness for fast cars. At the KulturKaufhaus he’ll read extracts from “Looking Good Dead, the second novel in the Detective Superintendent Roy Grace crime series. The novel reached No. 2 on the Sunday Times paperback bestseller list.
“This second novel in the Brighton series confirms James' talent for superior plotting and edge-of-the-seat suspense" The Guardian.

18:00 / Roger Boyes: My dear Krauts ďż˝#8220; Wie ich die Deutschen entdeckte
The Berlin correspondent of the London Times is known for his column „My Berlin“ in Berlin’s daily newspaper “Der Tagesspiegel. With biting humor and with tongue-in-cheek he tells us from his life as an English man in Berlin. Even Germans learn to laugh about themselves while hearing his ironic and amusing reports.

19:30 / William Boyd: Restless
The highly awarded author reads from his latest thriller about the disturbing question: How well can we ever know a person? William Boyd’s ninth novel combines family drama, a mystery, and World War II espionage, all culminating when a woman discovers that her aging mother was once a spy. “An absorbing historical thriller.“ The New Yorker

I hope you'll join us for the readings. I'll be there from 4:30. Come when you can (the hall is not closed between readings).
