Tickets for the UEFA Euro 2008 football championships will be available from today. Tickets can be purchased at www.euro2008.com
Price ranges for normal seats are from 35 EUR to 100 EUR. You can register for tickets until 31st of march.
If there is more demand than tickets available, a lottery will determine the successful applications.
The procedure is supposed to be easier than at the 2006 WC as only the buyer has to be registered on the tickets not the actual visitor.
An amazing amount of 75% of the tickets is supposed to go to the fans directly. Therefor chances of getting a ticket should be quite good.

But looking at the euro2008.com page I couldn't find any link to the sale of tickets.

I have to disagree that you have any better chance of getting a ticket for the euro championships than the World Cup.

All but 2 of the 8 stadiums have 30/32 thousand capacity.
75% of 30 thousand is still only 22 500 tickets for the general public (europeanwide and local Austrian/ Swiss) and the Fans of the competing teams to fight over.
It'll be some scrap and may the best man win wink.gif

Its a scandal that they were awarded the championships with such miniscule stadiums to be honest. It'll all become very interesting once you have a Holland / England or Italy / Germany type game on the cards. The black market ticket price will probably set new records!!
The only saving grace is that they arent allowed use the micky mouse stadiums beyond the group qualifiers, with the quarters, semis and finals all in Basel(42500 capacity) and Vienna(53000 capacity).

Check out the Rugby World cup to see how its done - WRC Venues - there are some smaller venues but theres plenty of larger venues for the bigger games.

The ticketing queue has now opened, but it is very slow currently, as they are running a lottery system till the end of March however, probably waiting will be the best option, unless of course you have nothing better to do than stare at your monitor smile.gif

This whole system is a scandal as people have to spend hundreds of euros on tickets to matches than are more than a year away. I went through this crap in 2000, won't do it again.
Wee Mun
Are they going to ban Italian fans from this??

Troll.

It's 950,- EURO to follow your team throughout the whole tournament. With a potential of 6 games that's 160,- EURO per game.
