Asparagus now available in the shops
Spargel - a sign of spring
Spring must be just around the corner, Kaufhof, Marienplatz had Asparagus today. There was no price display so I could not tell if it was local or foreign. New potatoes, Parma ham and Asparagus, together with a nice dry white wine. Who could ask for more?

Deccie, it´s not like someone is forcing you to buy or eat asparagus you know...
I know just my initial reaction. All the weekly menu's suddenly change to spargel, reducing the available choice.

not to be crass...but does anyone know why your pee smells so bad after eating asparagus?
Spargel: the worlds dullist tastlest vegetable, only made edible by pouring yellow sauce all over it.

Only if you insist on eating dishes from the daily menu, then you are right, it gets difficult at times to avoid asparagus...

IT is so yummie...I like the green asparagus better though.
